Insecure Auqa

So I've come to realize my Aqua man is very insecure. He always puts on the front as though he is not insecure at all. However, the more time we spend together the more I realize how insecure he really is. I always give him compliments to build the self esteem; but I notice he asks what I think of other people, particularly men, when we are out and about. Whatever I say about the other person he seems to be taking it personal as if I'm talking about him. For example he asked one day if I found a guy attractive and I said no. He asked why, I said bcuz he looked like he was 7mo preggers and didn't take care of himself - the guy looked like a walking heart attack. Since then he's been dieting and telling me he'd lost weight etc. Aqua man doesn't need to lose weight, he sexy as is & it tell him that...but that doesn't seem to sink in. Now it's his arms because I answered his question about my fav male body features. I feel like these are trick questions and now I'm watching what I'm saying. I don't really understand it...he's very attractive both mentally & physically. We are older so I have no expectation of being with a man with the perfect body and I know mine is not perfect. I do workout several times a week but that is totally for me.

With all this said I know everyone has their insecurities. What is the best way to handle these insecurities from an Aqua's point of view? Have you ever done what he is doing? And if so why? Also, maybe I'm miss interpretting and this means something else. Y'all are the experts...

Could be insecurity I'm not sure. I've done it in the past only out of observation if they were seemingly enjoying eye candy so I'd be curious and throw a few questions out. Personally for me though it was never about the self image or insecurity but a desire to look better for my partner. Who knows might be a libra risng thing as well.

There could be other factors too, is he complaining about his own physical features? Are these questions frequent? Maybe you just stumbled on a strange habit of his to talk about other people's features *shrugs* All that said I'd say answer with honesty, all's well if it means well unless you said something like "I could jump that man in a heartbeat" or "I wish you had that feature or your nose was a bit smaller".

Well with a name like beautiful Virgo can you blame him, you're probably gorge as all get out and he's steady swatting away the flies. lol

Does he have scorpio in his chart? That sounds scorpio like to me.

Yes, the questions are frequent...several times a week. I don't eye any of the men he points out; I haven't even eyed another man...especially not in his precense. I'm really not that type of gal to do that. 9 out of 10 times he points out if anyone is looking at me. I'm not interested in other men because I'm very happy with him.

I do notice more and more that when he asks what I think of what he's wearing, or his latest hair cut, or how he's trimmed his beard he seems to run with it. For example if he asks about his attire that day and I say "you look great, that blue shirt is definitely your color" he works that shirt in every week. He's sensitive about his stomach too. I think he's sexy as is but when I tell him that (what feels like a million times now) it doesn't seem to sink in. My Mr Confident seems to be showing the opposite.

Haha, BeautifulVirgo, I picked that because I personally feel like being a Virgo is beautiful (I know, not many Virgo supporters in the Aqua world) and I embrace it. Looks...in my 20's maybe but quickly approaching 40 I know I gotta work at it but swatting off the fellas - hahaha, hardly.

Oh don't be bashful my dad's a virgo he's: tolerant, young looking, and gets the ladies haha. I want to be able to meet more, you people have so much knowledge. When i'm not sleeping, I would love to hear it.

I'm not an aqua, but this is something I do all the time, so...

This is spetially true when I want to send a message to someone. "I know you like this, so I'll make this a symbol only you and I can understand. If you like this colour, for example, I'll wear it in very important ocassions with you, each time I want to confirm the strength of our bound and my support. If you told me once in the gym that my abs where awesome, be sure I'll find a way to have bigger, more defined abs next time. I just want you to know that you are really, really, really important to me, and that your opinion counts even at smallest things"

That said, It's not like I don't like myself. I just love to communicate that way. If you start telling me "stop looking for other ways to please me, I love you the way you are rigth now" I'd probably say: But I love to spoil you over and over, in different ways, every single day. I want to make you feel desired, pampered and spoiled.

Anyway, I think I lost the point with BeautifulVirgo. I was just trying to say that maybe aqua's behaviour its not a self-esteem issue, but a way of showing his appreciation. Works of love and such.

But she is so captivating.. such 70's vintage vibe. It's intriguing really listen to young and beautiful and you will be in a trance haha. Yeah he's trying to propitiate her.

At least he is doing something about his insecurity instead of wallowing in self pity like a piscean would, expecting people to flock and build them up an aquarian needs to build themselves??_..I do it all the time if people make me feel shit or if I feel ugly I need to do something about it. Ill be working out or ill groom myself or do anything till i look at myself in the mirror and be like "hey you"??_I get compliments from people all the time and I don't always acknowledge it I probably should though because there will come a time when I won't be getting any lol.
