Scorpio with Libra ascendant

I'm new on this site but haven't posted to this board yet but discussed my friendships/relationships on Scorp and Aries board. For once I am not one seeking relationship advice (lol) but just here to discuss. That may or may not be a relief to you Aquas. Now I am somewhat new to the depths of astrology so forgive me if I seen amateur (I am... definitely), but I'm here mainly out of curiousity. I have come to discover due to many forums etc scorpios and Aquas are typically not a great match. Granted there are many other factors other than sun signs, but I am curious as to why my relationships with aquas were actually...the better ones? My Libra ascendant maybe? Not sure. I'm friends with ALL aquas I've dated. I've also dated libra and gem. All still friends. Now...I dated a Virgo...bad. He was very dependent, clingy and needy. He emotionally drained me. We are NOT friends at all. I know all his signs go into play (which I don't know) so this could be a factor. But as a whole I do not get on well with earth signs at all. I get along with them (diplomatic rising Libra) but never get close. My best friends are Fire/Air. I've dated fires and that went well too. However I've dated the most Aquas...all of which were decent relationships but both of us decided being friends was better. So I am curious.... What are your thoughts? I am truly curious to understand. My Venus is very close to being in Libra and Merc is 9 degrees in so that's pretty set too...but it intrigues me. I haven't dated a Cap because they also (in my few experiences) became too clingy and needed too much attention. By too much I mean they may text me like 3 times, and if I don't reply they will continue. This goes for the virgos I have been involved with too. Now don't get me wrong, I dont want to neglect them by any means but I just find it to be too much. If I don't reply it's because I'm busy not because I am trying to be mean or rude. The one and only Taurus I was involved with was also too much. The cancer I was involved with was too negative and also draining. Granted I could just be finding ones with other placements involved that just don't match me, but I have literally had no luck with earth or water. I just don't get WHY.

I do love ALL of my Aqua friends though as a whole, men and women, relationships set aside🙂 you all I typically get along with. Is this mainly due to my ascendant in Libra giving off the airy characteristics do you think that draws me toward you in friendship and relationships?

I am not very good with reading charts myself and have no idea what the planets mean lol, but it seems like your fire and air signs is what could be attracting aquas. As you've mentioned, it could be your Libra ascendant as well as your sag moon.

I am in a relationship with a scorpio. His chart has fire and air as well. We have our ups and downs and some things he does annoys me lol but I feel like we are great for each other.

Next to Leos, Scorpios are the ones I get along with great! I'm still trying to understand my chart and how it affects my relationships with people as well. I think maybe my Pisces rising might be partly why I get along so great with Scorpios. Then again maybe it's because my Lilith being in Scorpio and Uranus is in Scorpio and Scorpio on my 9th house cusp.

I'm still learning what all that means but slowly I'm getting it and understanding people slightly better. Scorpios and Aquas are both fixed signs too so maybe we tend to kind of 'get' each other in some regards. 🙂

Hi Scorpio, My husband also has Sun/Mercury/Venus and Pluto in Scorpio. He has a water/fire dominant chart but his Moon is in Capricorn,Mars is in Libra and he's Aquarius Rising. I think that's why he was attracted to me. He told me that his first ex gf of 3 years was also a first deccan Aquarius. My chart is also fire/water dominant so I guess we mix well.My two Scorpio ex bfs were mostly fire dominant that didn't end well. I feel Scorpios that have air sign placements get along well with air signs or atleast attract air signs. Your parents are Air Signs so may be you have a better understanding of them.

That's so interesting! Same Scorpio placements. I am guessing the three air placements I have definitely have a big impact on my relationships and friendships. My Scorpio Venus I've read is supposed to make me very possessive. however I don't feel that way. I can be jealous at times but never show it or tell myself I am overreacting and shouldn't act out on it. In that aspect I am usually correct and don't need to be jealous. The only one who purposely made me jealous was the Taurus I was (shortly) involved with. It was very intentional and he triggered a very dark side. Earth signs bring out my negative traits I have noticed...definitely... while air and fire do not. I don't fully get it. But my parents being air signs they definitely taught me not to allow someone to "own my life" so to speak. They despised my ex Virgo BF... At the time I just went with it but looking back... Idk how I lasted. If I didn't reply to his texts id come back to 13 (not an exaggeration- sometimes even more) and he'd freak out thinking the relationship was over... Lol. I've done a complete 180 from that. He was my first boyfriend so I think that's why I accepted it. After him I came to the realization of how suffocating the relationship was and had a lot of healing to do mentally. From there I dated more air signs and they went much better. I was definitely taught to appreciate my independence.

I think it's safe to say that most Scorpio chicks who came here have had air sign parent/s and were involved with Aquarians. Most of them didn't have a good experience and seem really bitter. You're the first Scorpio chick that actually said something good about her Aqua ex.I think the clingyness was one big reason why I avoided Virgo,Taurus and Leo guys. They simply don't take no for an answer and get obsessed. Talking about obsession, I think Scorpio Venus is very intense and gets obsessed with the lover. I gave hard time to my husband but he never backed down. Even now he insists on talking no matter how bigger argument we have. He never leaves me alone to pout,lol. But I think air/earth aspects really tone down the intensity of the Scorpio Venus. They make the person think logically like you do. Your Air Sign upbringing really shows well 🙂 It will help you deal with your dark moods as a Scorpio. I definitely feel air/fire will be better choice for you or may be water men with lot of fire/air.

Sorry for such a delay. But now that you mention it, I definitely DO become obsessed with lovers/potential lovers however I rationalize and keep it to myself so I don't sound like a lunatic (lol). I'm undecided if it's because of how I was raised or because I am 0 degrees into Scorp venus (not even sure if that's relevant- just got into astrology recently so if cusps work for other parts other than sun signs I'm not entirely sure). I somewhat see my obsession as clingy and don't want to be something I personally don't like so I keep it under control and mentally tell myself I need to cool it lol. Very interesting though how different elemental influences can even out the intensity of a person, especially one with so much Scorpio in their chart as I have plus my upbringing. It is crazy to me how accurate this all is! I do love my fire and air signs🙂 that is a definite.

I just found out that Tony Abbott, the current Prime Minister of Australia is a Scorpio Sun/Aries Moon/ Libra Mars/Libra Rising and he has been married to an Aquarius Sun/Gemini Moon woman Margaret Abbott for 27 years.

but then again, i saw that Libra sun/Gemini moon/Libra venus Elizabeth Shue has been married to a Water sun man with Gemini moon for decades herself. lol

i thought the same thing with my aqua gf when i did her and her husband's chart. I really wasn't surprised when i saw the houses.

but i was more surprised just seeing so much air. 😄

that might be your saturn in aquarius, that understands aqua maybe?

i really haven't delved deeply into friendships honestly.

i do have two gfs but we don't see eachother often. one got married, starting a family, and saving for a house of their own; and the other-- i hardly ever see her at all.

in middle school/high school i had a Scorpio sun best friend; i spent the night at her house all the time; I was NOT into astrology at all, but it's soooo strange.....but she isn't into asrology either, just knew about symbols of Scorpio. I remember her birthday and she used to tell me that her sign was Scorpio, a very powerful, mysterious sign. I used to just shrug, like ok, cool. Honestly i wasn't into astro at all.

she, like me used to like the downtrodden,the misfits and the ones who were outcast in school. You know, the ones who aren't "popular" and who weren't cheerleaders or jocks. We weren't outcast as in, those who tried to look cool. More like we just did our own thing. We hung out with a cappy gf, who i knew from one of my classes and i introduced her to my gf as well. they too became fast friends. So we became the TRIO.

since me and cappy gf were both earthy i have a sneaking suspicion my Scorpio gf growing up was earthy. so we were all earthy.

it's like, earth gets earth. even though we are different sun sign.

lol well never mind about the earthy 😆

they were both watery with air placements. heehee. and with earth.

I was very much the same in high school only with different signs. my closest friends were an aries and an aqua and a libra. i did have a taurus friend but found her to be very unreliable and not trustworthy (she broke the trust). I never considered signs before either, but now looking back on it I am like "ummmm why am I a paradox in the typical astrological 'norms'"....LOL. i get along with almost everyone but my close cap friend took offense to something i did and apologized for (dont even remember what it was now it was so long ago) and we are no longer friends. she was my only long-lasting earth friend. i attract earth signs outwardly but have found i can never have a relationship with them that isn't detrimental to my mental health through experience (lol). but i DO attract air/fire with earth influences. example:

one of my male aqua friends now (w a cap moon/saturn/nept but heavy fire influence) recently told me he liked me after being completely rude to me when we were hanging out with friends to the point where i had to leave before i lost my mind and exploded. he started calling me and texting saying he needed to see me because he knew why i left so i said no thanks lol. long story short it ended with him disclosing his feelings, and i told him i don't tolerate disrespect from those who claim to like me. he sensed my anger with him and became closed and ignored me when we saw each other to the point where i could almost feel his tension and could feel him looking at me. eventually i just decided to be friendly, because it was pretty painful to look at how tense he was lol. he lit up and we chatted for a bit and became friends again, and he hasn't eluded to liking me since. thankfully. hes 6 years older than me but i feel like he wants to do more exploring and i think him liking me would stifle that, and thats not what i want for him. we are both insane lol that's why we are friends, and i would rather be friends instead of sabotage a friendship over something like rushing into nonsense and acting impulsively. overall he has quite a bit of earth influences and fire, while i am mostly water air and fire, w some earth. my virgo moon probably clicks with his cap moon pretty well.

my other aqua friend had heavy air with water and earth influence and her and i get along very well and understand each other. another aqua: heavy air, then an even mix of fire, water and earth. we had a good relationship but decided to remain friends

I have heard this. Aqua female/scorp male seem to be more successful than the opposite aqua male/scorp female. granted i am friends with all of the aquas, libras and gems i dated in the past; however, it was usually not my idea to break up in the first place but when they offered friendship i decided the feeling was mutual. mainly because we all started as friends anyways. for the libra i dated, it was more difficult because i felt like he manipulated me so i took more time to accept his friendship after the relationship but we are great friends to this day and he, his new girlfriend and I just went to Taste of Chicago together to eat all of the delicious food, yum. but i would say none of my aqua relationships were "bad", we just kind of...drifted and decided friendship was the better option, and it was seeing as we are still friends now.

Overall I am genuinely curious as to why the Aqua female/Scorp male relationships work over the Aqua male/Scorp female. It intrigues me but not enough to where I want to experiment with it lol. I never acted really clingy so maybe that's why my relationships worked. I dated a clingy Virgo and I vowed to never be that way because it was SO emotionally and mentally draining with him... "can we hang out" "what are you doing" "why havent you responded" "are you over me" NO I WAS TAKING A NAP PLEASE STOP. since then, i usually let the man initiate the convos. sometimes i start them too because i dont want to make it look like i dont try, but i take a hint and don't badger them to the point of insanity, because I know how it feels.

you know i dont know how to answer this. because it implies you only go by sun sign. Yet all your posts are about how you can get along with air/fire, (the irony) I never was into astrology before, yet plenty of different sun sign and they're happily married, and they are under different elements.

it's so frustrating. I look at my relatives,family and friends who are under different sun sign and i keep doing a double take because they are very happy and there's

no fighting, or doing any cray cray shit. and they are under different element sun sign and happy. very satisfied.

if a couple isn't doing well, then obviously there are problems and if the problems aren't fixable, then it's time to move on.

maybe just really not compatible.

only 3 things one can do to get divorce:

continous serial cheating (having a long term affair with lots of women) ie, Arnold Schwarzenneger comes to mind. Sorry can't think of anyone else right now.
no. 2. physical abuse.
no. 3 abandonment. (if the man or woman has left you, gone, left you for good and never gonna come back. you can get divorce and marry again).

but i realize lots of people do divorce under other conditions LESS than that.

and guess what??

there are still lots of women who STAY married to men who have mistresses and live with their mistresses, have children with their mistresses and YES they still keep their husband.
