Texting and phones

Im an aqua and so was my ex.. He was a rubbish texter.. He also seems to be obsessed with looking up or 'wanting' to buy new phones which he goes off in a week...however the only he using he his usng and has been using is a very old nokia from years ago.
I recently went through a faze of looking up iphones. I ended up gettng one september last year and it is currently switched of coz I hate people textng me constantly and expectng me to get back to them asap.

My ex only calls people rather than send texts and if he texts there short and sweet.
I'm about to go and get a phone I had back n 2007!! an old samsung, that i loved ...as these smart phones that are out drive me nuts...I dont want aphone that can do everything for me id rather use my mind and work it out myself.


I realllly hate buying something that EVERYONE else on the planet seems to have and makes me feel abit sick. Id rather something that i just like. In fact im not that into havng a phone attached to my hip 24/7 at all. Id rather not have one sometimes. Id rather get an instint to call someone rather than a reminder pop up that sais "remember to call... whoever"
Just wondering if any other aquas out there hate texting and smartphones??
Id rather talk face to face or not at all. I hate virtual nonsense, where ur obliged to focused on your phone everytme it beeps or flashes which lets be honest is all day!! it doesnt give my head time to think as theres always someone texting.


My so called astrologer friend told me i should like phones and texting.. maybe im just old fashioned but I just dont get how people can spend all day facing there screen of there phone texting rather than chatting or looking around at the people next to them. Id rather call and say shall we meet up!! Anyone else like me??

i'm like this too. the only reason i have an iphone is because my bf got it for me. i like that i get driving direction on it, because i get lost a lot. and i can read an article when i'm having coffee. my friends know they have to call me, i really dont text much. when they send me a text i will call them and tell them my answer LOL.

I really dont care about phones, if it receives and sends messages or calls, im good to go. I was using a nokia 5110 until early 2011- when it rang, my friend would say, 'plz dont answer that thing when ur with me', lol. They called it a door-stopper. iphone, jphone, i dont care, if it works im fine. I hate texting though, i always keep it short- i have tender knuckles
