Unlike any Aqua

I am involved with a new aqua, we met one night in New Orleans and hit it off. I don't live there, but we've been in constant contact and have seen each other again since then. I really have zero complaints about this guy, I just wonder what you all think about his extravagant gestures of romance.

He is unlike any Aqua I've been with in that he doesn't seem detached at all. Being a libra, I'm detached myself, but he is very affectionate, open and honest with me. I don't know his chart except that his moon is in Pisces, which I think profoundly affects this romanticism he has about him.

It's just funny, to see an Aqua so out there with his emotions, not worried about getting hurt, being vulnerable and open. What do you guys think? Is this just another aspect of the ever-elusive Aquarian personality?? I'm curious...

I'm pretty open with my emotions..f*ck it..my motto is I only have one life to live so I jus go for mine, I have no regrets and I love hard, strong and thoroughly..I jus go for it, some Aqua's are like that atleast I'm one of them. You may be blessed with a more emotionally evolved Aqua..count yourself lucky lol (:

I know alot of emotionally open aqua men. Just the ocassional few closed off ones, but for the most part I find them to be very open to loving.

haha, that was my first thought when I read it...but if he's old enough...who knows.

Well, see not all Aquarian men are closed off & unemotional. But what you also must take into consideration is what this Aquarian male is currently going through. If he just got out of a relationship or just got hurt by someone it is less likely that a new interest will get to see his true side. And then you've got the Aquarian males who realize the flaw of his own zodiac is the fact that they seem unemotional & detached. Keep in mind that there is ALOT to an Aquarious. I'm an Aquarian woman myself & most people think that just because I am open & talk about my feelings & opinions that I am very easy to get to in terms of love, but that's not the case at all. Aquarians will talk you too death until their blue in the face, leaving others to believe that we're open books. But there is a huge difference in our attitudes & what we say to our new interests when we feel like love might be knocking at the door. Alot of people feel like they already know an Aquarious because of their fun loving attitude & constant realm of communication, but just know there is always a deeper & darker side to an Aquarian, especially the males. In his mind, he's just communicating with you & telling you what he WANTs you to know. In his mind, he may not be seeing it as completely opening up to you & letting himself be vulnerable. But in YOUR mind you might be suprised by his deep & intellectual conversations with you, which you might see as him letting down his guard almost too early due to the fact that you know that's unlike an Aquarian. Just be careful. He might let you in to his mind, but not necessarily his heart. There is a difference.

well, he has had his heart squished, he's been divorced after a 2 year marriage. And yes, it is recent so I expect that I am his rebound though he dated a couple girls between it wasn't serious enough for him to really delve into it (his words).

krysrenee, thanks for your insight. You're right about not regarding the depth of conversation as emotional availability, it is something I've taken into account. Don't forget, I'm a libra, detached is how I roll, too. So I'm not basing all my observations solely on our "good conversation." More his actions, like calling me every night to say goodnight, taking me slow dancing and staring deep in my eyes. Playing guitar for me on the phone (I know, droolworthy, it's ALMOST too much but not yet).

I love the complexity of Aqua, it seems there is always a new little trait to be explored and discovered. such an awesome bunch you all are!

"Being detached doesn't necessarily mean you are always that way on the outside. Like you appear cold, you don't smile, etc. Many of the aquas, both male and female I've known seem like friendly, caring, warm people on the outside...but as they get closer to people, they have kind of a glass wall, I guess you could say. As I see it, they compartmentalize their lives quite distinctly and each person they are acquainted with gets put in a cubicle. So it's real important what cubicle you get placed in early on...because it's tough to switch cubicles. Thus, the wisdom of going slow with an aqua...never put a stake in the ground right off, be mobile."


Ok...that is so on the mark it is scary. Seriously. I feel like you just got inside my head.
