i don't really have any strange thought, coz i'm realistic, i know what is possible & impossible for me

i think alot of people have a strange thought, not just aqua. like one of my co-worker just recently told me "I have an idea, let us build a robot that can jump for fun", then i told him "do you have any idea how to make this 1 kg machine jump? do you know how much force we need to lift this machine? do you know how to keep its balance and control its centre of mass? bla bla bla" then he replied "no, i don't"...anyway he's gemini

just to have an idea is simple (at least for me) & not sufficient. but to turned an idea into real world product is not an easy task

"Sounds like you are in the electronics field? "

i'm an automation engineer, dealing alot with industrial machine, intelligent system, electronics and control system

"Do you design Robots?"

i used to design alot when i was in college, designing robots are good and cool for hobby, but not profitable, bcoz most are not ready for implementation in real world

now i'm more into research, i don't design as much as several years ago

"sb - he is a robot"

hehehe

here is list of my research on computer / machine vision (if you are interested)
- face analysis
- face recognition
- visual servoing in robotics arm
- stereo vision for obstacle avoidance, automated guide vehicle, distance measurement and 3D image generation (still in progress)
- developing some boosting algorithms like AdaBoost algorithm (still in progress)

"Is it necessary to have a Phd in this field? Most US companies seem to require that while venturing into this field."

no. I don't even have a master / Phd degree (i would like to have one someday), i know most researhers have master or Phd, but i think experience, work performance or maybe achievements do count alot. in here, there is a system called "employee performance system (EPS)" for every individual based on customer satisfaction, team/friends satisfaction and manager satisfaction. you have to work hard if you want a high EPS

i used to be an engineer when the first time i worked in there, but i'm not a detail oriented people, i dont like being told what to do and i have alot of new idea, then i talked about it to my manager "i think i will do better as a researcher"....few days later, they moved me to R&D as a junior researcher, and several months later, i've been chosen as senior researcher

now back to astrology, there are alot of saggies & aries in my field (engineering + IT), mostly are fire & air signs, so we have a loud, fun, friendly, hot and active enviroment everyday

1. saggie
2. aries
3. gemini
4. aqua
5. scorpio
6. leo
7. virgo
8. capricorn
9. libra
10. cancer
11. taurus
12. pisces

i've seen this pattern in 4 countries (in the same company), so how about in business, IT or other fields?
