Why are Aquarius afraid to commit—

Who has five and ten years to wait around for a person to make a serious committment, such as marriage? And why does it so long for them to pop the question or accept?

this is a very good topic....and question.... why they take so long to commit...well personally i think that it
has alot to do with thier aloofness... and fear or being hurt..so it takes them
quite a longer time than normal to grasp
the whole idea of partnership...aquas
store alot of fear in regard to dependancy on another human to make them happy..i know it all sounds a little out of wack for us others that dont hang on to fear but its really
something they cherish most in life...
so of course if you are as selfobsorbed
as a aqua...you can finally accept this fact...its just that its quite frustrating have to deal this as a normal person...so there comes the ultimate question....are you able to cope with this frustation and maybe turn it in to something else...a bit more interesting...like understanding and tolerance...i know its sounds a bit boring...but if you really think about it and try entering thier secret world
it will eventually become acceptable...if you really care that much that is....

I was in a relationship for 10 Years with an Aquarius woman. We never did marry not because she did not want to but because when Marriage came up it was because she was pregnant. I did not want to make that type of a move just because of Pregnancy. I decided that we should try living together first then we could get married. When two people love eachother Marriage in my eyes does not have to be rushed. Additionally, I am the youngest in my family with 2 older brothers and 4 Sisters. I was able to extract some experience from my older brothers who married, later to get divorced or separated. I did not want to follow their foot steps and did not want to get married and later have to deal with Divorce issues if we rushed into it.
I am a Pisces Male with Aquarian traits and understand your point of view. However, just to add more fuel to the fire I separated from my Ex Aquarian Woman because I alway's felt that although we were together she was alway's in her own way keeping an eye out for something better. I understand her because I came to realize that I was also like this in my own way. It is something in the Aquarian trait that although we can be faithful we hate restrictions and tend to be flirtatious. I know flirting is common and everyone does it. I am just the type of person who wants my mate to only have eyes for my self, especially if I was her first love. I guess I can be rather selfish in this aspect. I could not continue to be with someone who is never going to be completely happy with what they have. I did not want to risk her having to cheat on me and later experience deep hurt. I loved her very much and still continue to do so in my own way. However, what I had for her is now gone and I doubt it could be ignited again and probably would not want to because of fear that she would prefer someone else over me.
I keep my distance now and only talk to her when needed. I decided to move on before she did this hurt her. However, this was a decision I was going to have to make eventually. I have little patience for fun and games, I need security with the woman I Love. If not I will only consider it a fling or a temporary thing. Another crucial reason why I left her is because of her lack of communication and not being able to say what is on her mind keeping me guessing all the time. I have to admit I was not the most faithful man in her life but then again that is why we are not together. My Aquarius side enjoys meeting different women and socializing. My Pisces side is looking for more of a commitment from someone.
I really feel that the Aquarian side is the side that is not looking for commitment and seldom is happy with what they have alway's wanting better or the best.

I'm an aquarian girl and don't really understand you saying that we aqua's are always looking for something better. I guess in a sence yes that is true but... not really. I personally have a hard time commiting for fear of getting hurt in the end. I know that this is an issue I have and really get annoyed at myself and wish that i can be more open and trusting because I also have suspicion issues which lead to my fears of getting hurt. I've realized that I need to find inner peace with myself and love myself so that I can give my all to that special someone and find that beautiful thing called love with anouther.

No abortion here, we have a beautiful daughter together. She is happily with a Leo man and I am happily with a Leo woman till further notice. In my eyes it worked out for the best for eachother. No one should have to be a victim in a relationship and feel confined. When it is time to separate it is just time, no big deal she goes her way and I go mine. I am very much attuned to what I want in life and need and she just was not cutting it. My LEO Woman is more caring and loving than any Aquarian woman could ever be.
