We went to a small town this weekend that sported a population of approx 300 people. They hosted the 52nd annual potato festival! They had the potato princess, a parade...it was great!! The towns people were so friendly!! There were about 1,000 people there with polka bands, rock bands and country bands. Lots of polish food and a good time!! My favorite part? Aside from polkaing, is looking at all of the motorcycles that showed up. Some fine lookin' bikes and bikers!! Tink was impressed🙂

Why I hate small towns:

If you weren't born there, you don't belong there, meaning you get excluded from everything and give you weird looks. The people there won't do business with you. They vandalize your house. They're anti progress. They don't want any foriegn influences on their precious backwards small town culture, usually including no outsiders on drunk hunting in your backyard day. The only time they're nice to you is when they're trying to get your money, and even then they're not very good at it.

I see where you are coming from. I know that they can be horrible to live in because of small minds etc. But you can find that anywhere. If you are questioning if this town accepted diversity, it did. The bikers proved that. This is actually a small town in Michigan called Posen, named after a polish provence. The people were friendly but it might be different to live there. Being up north also makes people a bit different. No one wants to piss any one off incase you need a lift out of a snow drift!! 🙂

Morgan, I suggest you start living your life and saying what you feel and to hell what people think. I am 41 and use to be afraid of "causing trouble." But you know what? We are all unique and as long as we are not physically or mentally hurting someone, you have a human right to your opinion and the way you want to live. Please read my site on Inner light...."playing small so not to offend someone serves no good purpose". Be Who God Made You To Be! And to the others, give thanks that you are not like them. What saaadooos.lol
