Effect of Saturn opposite Libra Ascendant?

I am a Libra Rising.
While I agree very much with other aspects of my chart (as in, it's very accurate, not just in a generalized way), I just absolutely can't feel my ascendant's effects.
Here are all the aspects to my ascendant:
- Sun square Ascendant
- Mercury square Ascendant
- Venus trine Ascendant
- Mars trine Ascendant
- Jupiter square Ascendant
- Saturn opposite Ascendant
- Uranus trine Ascendant

My girlfriend says Saturn is blocking it, and so are the squares. But she can't explain clearly what she means by that, how these aspects are effectively "blocking" my ascendant's effects.

So, can anyone help please?

Well, I guess I will end up seeing it eventually. The Ascendant is important after all.
