Ascending or Rising sign rules Personality?

I tought the same once in the past, but it's not true. Your sun sign rules you. However your rising is also big part of your personality. Sun sign is 50% , Rising 30% , Moon 10% and rest are others.

Thats interesting because Im Aqua but feel more of my scorpio rising for some reason.

I have an Aquarious Rising also, and i experience pretty much what u described above, i always just thought it was the Gemini Sun until i started taking a closer look at the differences between Gemini and Aquarious.

I read somewhere that your rising traits surface when under pressure... or that your first and immediate reactions are influenced by your rising... ? Not sure. I don't read much into astrology but I feel quite Tauresy 😛 I feel some scorp like traits sometimes if we blame astrology of course, I say it just because they aren't described by my sun so they come from elsewhere right? When I was younger I used to be very confused, I thought I was at war with myself... I felt one way but thought I should react to something another way... I so badly wanted to control myself, be rigid with myself, be 'good' but it was a control thing over myself... but the way I felt was different but I wanted to control that too. For example I felt vengeful but I thought to myself that I should be forgiving and humble and that was what made a person strong and great... the power to let go. ?? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally decided that I was who I was and was ok with reacting two very different ways in the same situation if that's how I felt at the moment, just be. Twice I've been told that I have a double personality and other times that they can't figure me out and once that I was extreme... although I feel like I give the world one consistent 'face' but I'm not sure I'm just that...

I wonder if your sign being in opposition with your rising means anything? For example scorp is the opposite of taurus or like aquaj who has the opposite leo rising also. What kind of effect would that have?

Anywho if I follwed Haffs formula I'd be 60% bull and 30% scorp and 10% lil o this and lil o that

i've thought about something like that myself, and i really like how you've linked psychology with astrology. i think that is definately the best way to go when striving to fully understand individuals, becuz astrology/psychology can both support one another effectively when given the opportunity to go hand-in-hand.

for instance, phenotype can be explained through psychology, whereas genotype can be explained through astrology. so i guess you can say that "astrology" fills in the gaps for what is already known within "psychology" to begin with. but yes, i really enjoyed your comment on that. lots of props to you, for damn sure.
