Libra Sun (12th house)
Libra Asc
Gemini Moon (8th house)
Libra Mercury (12th house)
Capricorn Mars (3rd house)

2nd house: Scorpio (Sag Saturn & Sag Uranus here)
6th house: Pisces (North Node Aries here ....house is Aries if using Placidus)
10th house: Cancer (empty)

I am easily bored but enthusiastic so long as I am learning and dealing with new and different challenges. My education is some university but incomplete as I got distracted dabbling in the medical field and couldn't decide on anything in particular anyways. I'm a few semesters away from a Bachelor's degree in business admin.

My main career problems are 1) my enthusiasm starts off high but does not continue once I've learned my profession and then I get mind numbingly bored. 2) I am so very interested in so many different things I wish I could dabble in a bit of all sorts of different things.. but never any one thing for too long.

Ugh. My Capricorn Mars really does not like my Gemini Moon. I desire success in a career, I work hard, I'm obsessed with perfection in my work.. I need to find a path that I will not quickly master and burn out on in a few short years.

Recently I've been thinking about entrepreneurship. I really think I could rock that as I'm constantly dreaming up all sorts of business ideas. The hard work would be developing and getting it off the ground, tending to it's infancy. Then when I get bored, as is realistically inevitable, I can pass it on and move along.

It's risky business though.. I'm up for other ideas!

I have considered psychology.. but I am concerned about how emotionally deep I feel pain for others. I avoid watching and reading the news because I find the tragedies of others so completely heartwrenching. Other people's troubles are heavily draining for me. This is part of why I left the medical field after four years. I actually have lots of Plutonian and water influence. Pluto is 1st house along with Scorpio Venus, closest planet to my Asc, then 8th house moon, 12th house sun & merc.

"Recently I've been thinking about entrepreneurship."

If you really feel passionately about it and have the tenacity and a really good business idea...and want to work pretty much non-stop for years, then do it! It is very rewarding when it works. I must warn you, though, that you may get bored long before your business even has a chance of becoming successful and it's not that easy to pass it on and move along before you are reasonably successful.

When I did it I did so with a partner with another set of interests and skills than I had. That enabled me to go with what I thought was exciting, which was also where my talents lay and he did what I felt was the boring part...which was what he felt strongly about and what he was really good at. See, I bore rather quickly too, but I'm still very tenacius, so we managed very well for several years. Then I realised that I was completely over worked and had to drop it and move on into another direction.

As I said, i bore easily too and the only businesses I have found that doesn't seem to bore me are those where you get to be very creative and are given room to move, and also the travelling industry. I do have a sag venus to back that up, though, so that might not be strange. Just saying.

With your venus in scorpio, maybe some business relating to other people's money? Is that something that would interest you? That's often high risk, though, so make sure you're safe. Maybe a combination of business and the medical field, where you have experience. If you need investors to realize your idea it's always good to be able to show how to incorporate past experiances and knowledge into that idea in your sales pitch.

Good to see you're working that cap mars of yours. 😉

actually my sisters are water dominant, and they are in these type of fields.

maybe becuase they also have earth, for example taurus moon which is very very strong in the moon sign, gives them stability and strength to withstand it.

remember that Scorpio is represented as a sign that can withstand high level stress and focus very well. Kind of like in the hospital when there is an emergency, and there are wounded, it is the Scorpio dominant who maintains the ability to get the wounded fixed up without running away and crying over the blood.

they can make excellent surgeons in other words.

so that wouldnt be your plutonian, maybe you just cant handle the stress and pressure of the medical field.

holy crap! i knew that there are surgeons under every sun sign but i went to look up the top ten surgeons....

and Libra Sun (sept 9) is up there!! with merc in libra. but guess what?? He's a Capricorn moon. lol

with Virgo Venus and Sag mars. with Neptune Cancer, Saturn Aqua and Jupiter in Pisces. so he's quite earthy with key water placements.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Heysham_Gibbon

he's an AMerican surgeon, invented the Heart Lung machine. Cool huh?

ooohh this double water surgeon, (Pisces sun/Scorpio moon) removes skin cancer, He has Capricorn venus/merc/uranus and Taurus mars. with Jupiter libra, super earthy and watery.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederic_E._Mohs

"Frederic Edward Mohs (March 1, 1910 – July 2, 2002), a physician and general surgeon, developed the Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) technique in 1938 to remove skin cancer lesions while still a medical student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The Mohs procedure is considered the best method for treating certain types of skin cancer, because it has very high cure rates for even high-risk lesions, combined with maximal preservation of healthy tissues.[1]"

maybe you can look up your sun/moon/venus and mars combo, OP, and see what calling you feel you have.

Digging up for science 😄 @tiziani So, my questions are.. vagure. I need direction. I could really try just about anything but I need something to.. calm my 2nd house problems. Settle my wandering mind. Uranus and Saturn are not the best of friends and they both live in my 2nd house. A moderate income is important to me. Holding my interest is important. Intellectual freedom is vital. If you can grab some ideas from my vagueness I will be able to come up with more specific questions.

Are you saying you want to draw in a bigger income than what you're making now or are you looking for work that matches your long term direction?

2nd house is a threefold thing - emotional, material and spiritual security. Money matters are tied to this house but they can also filter out through other areas.

Higher income for sure. Matching my long term direction would be nice.. but I'm constantly changing direction so idk even what that is. I do know that I want to write and be published in the future.. at least 10-15 years down the road. I need to establish financial security for the future. I am not expecting to inherit a single penny from anyone.

I feel like Uranus and Saturn financially could suggest eventual success with "aggressive" investing.. like I'd have lots of losses and gains but eventually I'd learn it and it'd pay off.. Is that possible?

Mostly I need a career that will keep my attention because I bore so easily.

I feel a toddler writing my wish list to Santa. -_-

hey don't you have a Mutable Mars? Dont be judge-y Aqua/Lib.. 😛

I make a stubborn decision then mull over if I made the right choice 😉

Why not branch out with your existing skills or find the most effective way to combine said skills. I combined my college job with what I studied and toss some nerdiness in there.

If the job no exists, make it.

Yes! If you can't find the door you seek, build it. I'm all about that! Blogging is an option.. if I could ever hone in on a focus of interest.

The problem is I could be interested in started up so many different things. So, I'm looking to my chart for what energies/directions will work well.

@tiziani, What does a contradiction in the chart mean? For me, the Uranus/Saturn situation.
I don't understand. What about that is contradictory to you?
What does red herring mean? Its often used in speech infer contradiction.. meant to mislead.. no?

Well, not "meant" to mislead exactly.. I'm certain the universe had no intention of misleading my ability to read into my finances in my chart. 😆

What does it mean for a planet to express is itself through another? Why? What in the chart indicates that to be the case?
There are several things to apply here. The end goal is always to simplify the chart's message and cut out the noise in between. In this case if you know you have planets of a certain sign (Sag) living inside a house ruled by a different sign (Scorpio) then they have no extroverted expression in your chart. They are introverted planets, still ruled by the Scorpio house ruler but you can look to the planets their aspect also to see how they interact with other areas of your chart.

So basically all of my planets are introverted except for the Sun and my Rx Jupiter..?

Yeah as in it's not the true obstacle here it can just be ignored.

What is my true obstacle career-wise? According to what you saw in my chart?

I've never mentioned on dxp before.. for about three years i visited on a regular basis, weekly or at least several times a month, an individual incarcerated in state prison. (Astrology is so spot on it's bizarre.) The relationship felt destined somehow at the time. I hope that experience fulfilled my karmic or whatever needs regarding prison because I have no interest in any further dealings with prison or prisoners ever again.

I could however, see myself writing on the subject of how we can imprison ourselves in own minds with self limiting and defeating thoughts and how to break free from that.

First and foremost, how old are you? And are you male or female? Those two things are very important factors to getting a career.
I'm plenty old enough for a new career, just had my Saturn return conjunct last month. 🙂 female. I'm at a crossroads. I really did not enjoy the career track I was on. Having a baby was an opportunity to pull back and reevaluate so that's where I am now. I work part-time for an investments/insurance company.

Do you mean ignore for this particular question? What sorts of things would I look at that for if not my income potential?

My new boss is Sag Sun & Merc, Scorpio Moon, Aries Mars.

-_- Impatient. Impulsive. Whiney.

The lack of tact is just too much. Bleeeeghhh

I'm exploring my other options.
Did you have this boss five months ago too?

If he is the reason, it's interesting how his Mars is triggering your new fate regarding NN-SN:Aries-Libra.

I started working with this boss 2 1/2 months ago. The new situation was revealed to me by surprise from my previous boss at the Leo New Moon in August and then I started working for him sooner than anticipated the day after the Aqua Full Moon two weeks later.

I started this thread 5 months ago because I knew that this isn't the career trajectory I want. I need something more. I need to do something that really means something to me.

What else are you thinking about my new boss Aries Mars triggering my NN?

@eventually, I think Mars isn't the best in 3rd house. For me (Cap Mars).. it's hit or miss. If I'm "on" I'm good to go, hardworking, etc but it's unpredictable and sometimes I'm just not all in, especially when I get bored. Ahhh, such is Gemini energy. 🙂

I am 100% entrepreneurship is the way to go. I just can't see me being anything less than unfulfilled working for someone else (besides clients of course.) You make a good point in that it requires being able to do many different things, wear all the hats, and I like that. It's a great place for Gemini-ish people to be!

That's a fantastic perspective regarding the Martha article, thanks for sharing. I agree for sure. No need to start with heavy overhead. Sounds like the way Jobs started Apple. 🙂

Profession is 10th house. Public image too, it's no suprise you chose a cartoon character (cancer). I knew a cancer mc who worked as a home security consultant.

Because its cancer, check the moon, gemini 8th. Gemini is communication, 8th is the dark side...long term marriage, endings.

Maybe something to do with insurance, home insurance...
I'm currently in insurance. I have thought long and hard about it's potential in my future and I'm just not excited about the idea. I could do it if I *had to* but that's never the right attitude to have when choosing a career with intentions of long term happiness.
