Do Earth and Water Really Get Along

? I'm confused... Water is emotional. Earth is success-driven, with little to no emotions. Yet they pair these two up as "compatible." I am closer to FIRE people and LIBRANS. I do have many water friends but none of them is a close friend of mine. They just seem to tag along with us. @_@

I think it's a case of opposites attract in the way you are describing but water and earth personalities are more similar than you would think.

I think water people are pretty stable compared to air and fire people.

Earth people are not devoid of emotion, just are not so expressive. Water people give us permission or can teach us to be more expressive in that area.

All the tauruses I know are very emotional, don't know much about the other earth signs

I've seen water people to have a good work ethic. They are pretty practical. If anything, their personality is just not as "grounded" as ours. The only trouble spot with me generally is romantic. Its like we're in 2 different universes.

Yes, exactly. Love the down to earth and warmth of earth signs but they can't seem to deal with my emotional space. I always feel left high and dry, not to mention misunderstood.

Earth signs have plenty of emotion, we just don't tend to put it on display for the rest of the world. We keep it safely tucked away inside, in secret.

Water signs do tend to speak the 'language' of emotion better than we do, and can help us a bit with that. Generally, a good water sign can keep a secret. That gives us the opportunity to interact with somebody who can both understand our emotions - possibly better than we sometimes do - AND refrain from broadcasting our inner workings to the rest of the world. We can't help but like that, it's a pretty good deal for us.

Likewise, water signs seem to like to dig into the inner workings of others, especially earth signs, seeking understanding. They can usually keep a secret, but they also LOVE finding those secrets. So that's what's in the bargain for them there.. DIRT, if you'll pardon the pun. Plus earth signs tend to supply some stability they like, and sometimes need.

Water and earth don't necessarily make mud. They also make fertile soil together. Earth can't bear fruit by itself, it must have water. Likewise, water needs the stuff of earth to be more fertile... if you want to get all philosophical about it. They work well together as a team, naturally, which is why you have food on your plate tonight at dinner.

... and before some smartypants starts talking about the fertility and growth in the ocean, it still needs earth! Poop and decaying vegetation is, by definition, earth. Without those things not a single plant (or fish) would live long in the ocean. Likewise, without water, the earth would be lifeless as well.

However, when what you really need is a bunch of hot air, you can't beat air and fire signs. :p

This, plus it helps if aspects of a chart go well, not to mention each person being mature and able to communicate.

With my Moon and Venus in Virgo, they are irresistible to me. I have a Cap friend(2years) and a Taurus friend(9years) still going strong. But Virgos are my favourite of all earth signs, incredibly fun and go with the flow kinda people.

None of the signs truly mean "no emotion," just that they display less or feel uncomfortable expressing them.

Try to think of the way elements interact on Earth. Water and earth can be harmonious in that water can nourish the earth and help plants to grow, flowers to bloom. Earth can help to control the overflow of a river (heavy emotions) by being a boundary, as in the bank of a river holding the water in.

I argee Water and Earth signs are compatible. Sometimes we may not like the things we say or do. But sometimes we need each other to balance each other out. In friends and your lovers.

They get along as friends.

As far as romantic relationships go, they are all feminine signs. Someone go get me a masculine sign please 😄!
