This isn't solely a Gemini attribute. It's a common issue amongst girls and their friends. A lot of women are competitive creatures.
Depends on a guy! If he likes you - she can jump on the lake! But if he doesn't know, not sure or whimp - shenosnover charge! Grow some balls!

I had someone like this in my life once. I tested her, and sure enough she went for a guy I "liked". Her dating someone didn't stop it. Most of the women that do this usually have low self confidence and will play these shorts of games as a means for validation of their self worth.
So as a friend, you can accept this behavior and take precautions by not introducing her to people whom you are interested in, or not. Most of these women will never admit to this as well because they don't even realize they are doing it.
