Gemini in Venus, Mars and Moon - Taurus Man

Hi, can anybody cast any insight into this man - we had a number of wonderful dates and he pursued non-stop with phone calls, emails, texts (over 500) and gifts - told me he was falling hard for me, cut a business trip short to be with me, re-arranged things in his life to come to me - then spun on a coin the moment his ex stepped back up - full of sadness and apologies.. I'm very curious to understand him - I don't want him back, my pride wouldn't allow it - but i am always curious about why people act the way they do, hence the interest in astrology! I'm thinking with all the gemini in such important placements he is in two minds about anything and found it perfectly easy to love two women at once.

Thanks ellessque, i've spent some time researching the venus in gemini, it seems he is a walking text book example. unfortunately for me I was "talked" in before he changed his mind.
