Is there something in my chart that could explain why I have a difficult time letting go?

I notice that even once I've concluded that someone is no good for me or no good in general, I am able to rationalize it in a healthy way and decide to move on but then mentally/emotionally I remain stuck on it, analyzing it and wanting to talk about it for much longer than it deserves to be dwelled on. Is there something astrologically that might point to the reason for this?

Moon Virgo
Mercury Taurus
Venus Aries
Mars Gemini

lot of Merc energy - the questioning never stops
yeah good catch. that could be it too!
Any suggestions on how to quiet all these questions?
hold off on the conclusion but idk if this is good or bad advice obviously if you have abusive partners it's very bad advice. i just notice venus in aries folk move on too fast.

Yes, lately I have finally tuned into the fact that I can be very hasty in deciding to end things or even just deciding how I feel about things. I will try to just sit with my thoughts before I take action or make conclusions going forward. That's easier said than done, but I'm sure it will help me. ESPECIALLY because then even if I chose to end something, I will know I already mulled it over, so hopefully there will be no more mulling after the fact.

Right trying to sift through the emotions as if they are a puzzle in need of a solution. Questioning every aspect of your decision to move on.

Level 1 Questions
Did I end things too soon? Is there something I could have done different? Did I misinterpret what was really going on by over analyzing the situation? Is it my fault?

Level 2 Questions
How could I have allowed myself to fall for someone who is obviously so wrong for me? How could I not have seen how completely incompatible we are? Why did I allow myself to get so emotionally invested in THIS person? How do I prevent this from happening to m EVER again?

Level 3 Question
Why can't I stop thinking about this person...I don't even want to be with them?

Return to level one. Rinse and repeat for as long as it takes to mentally wear yourself out, and let go of finding a solution to this puzzle. Or...until you meet the next best prospect. Whichever one comes first. 😐
Woah you may have just changed my life with this. I took a screen shot and am going to journal about it now. Level 3 speaks to me haha.

I really think its the Gemini, Libra and Virgo in you. Gemini and Virgo are both analytical as hell and Libra is going to normally feel blame for something not working in a partnership. I have a Mars Gemini and Libra moon and I deal with that a lot too, even after I break up when I know I've made a decision that was in my best interest.
How do you normally work through it/speed up the process toward acceptance and more importantly not thinking about it anymore?

I remind myself that I was making a decision that felt right in my heart and that everything happens for a reason. I was the one to end it however. I normally don't get broken up with actually but when I have in the past I just remind myself what a catch I am and that the universe is just freeing me up for the next best thing to come along. You cant please everyone and sometimes things end shitty just because there is immaturity in rejection with some people. If you're able to talk to your ex I suggest leaving on a good note at least maybe by letting them know the impact they had on you and expressing that you appreciate their place in your existence. Sorry if that's cheesy but I really feel like it helps me not question everything as much because I'm not left with self imposed guilt or the guilt from my ex. Like right now I'm actually going through exactly what you're talking about and I was the one to end it. I know I made a decision for myself and normally I'm always making decisions for the benefit of others (Libra Moon -_-) so he kind of hates me and wont talk to me at all and its really irritating because it was blown out of proportion by him. I have to stop myself from thinking that what I did was selfish in a bad way, because it was selfish in a good way. I turned it over in my head for a while but staying busy in my life, improving myself and focusing on me really keeps my head away from any overthinking. I'm pretty busy with school and work and we live pretty far from each other so I don't ever see him. I hope to be friends someday though =/

Search yoga nidra on YouTube. Find one that you like and listen to it each night. It will allow you to visualize each part of your body relaxing and letting go. Truly intend to quiet your mind because it isn't doing you any favors. Why carry it when you could put it down? Xo
Excellent thank you. I do guided meditation but this one sounds perfect for me.

Yeah for me it isn't even a breakup necessarily...just things with people I'm casually seeing ending (by my choice). But same cycle of thoughts/feelings about it. I just want to learn to go through the process a bit quicker, especially when the person I'm thinking about was not too significant in the grand scheme of my life.

Mercury in the 8th would have Scorpio qualities.

Obsessive and likes to dig deep.

http://www.theastrologyplace.uk/2011/08/mercury-in-8th-house.html?m=1
Quite accurate for me, even the dark parts/interest in the occult, and especially "Has an awareness of another reality and hidden agendas is something they are usually interested in exploring."

I am pretty perceptive and when I trust my initial judgment/instinct, I am usually right....when I don't, I regret it.

I also relate to: "On matters involving communication and intimacy, they may seek to understand the deepest motivations of others."
I think that when I am hurt by someone's actions, more than wanting to deal with the emotion of it on my end, I want to understand the motivation of the actions on THEIR end.

It also talks about suspicion/paranoia...and while I have never thought of myself as having those traits, it would make sense as to why I so hastily judge and dismiss people (but that could also be a Virgo Moon thing).

Actually this whole placement and its description feels to touch home more than any other placements descriptions for me.
-may be drawn towards extreme styles of speech (when I have something to say about something I care about, it is delivered in an extreme and typically profound/well thought out way, usually via writing which this description also discusses)
-might be associated with a black sense of humor and highly sophisticated one (I am always being told my humor is "high brow")

Thank you for this!!

I have Mercury Scorpio, so I get it. I'm pretty quiet in general. I like to dig deep too.

I can be paranoid and obsessive, so i try to watch that.

I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I'm great at dead pan! I'm always making people laugh, but I'm careful with my audience.
Everything I read about my birth date says I should be careful with my audience....I do notice I can be quite extreme in my humor and 90% of people will find me quite humorous, but the other 10% , rather than simply not finding me funny, they will find me extremely offensive and off putting. 😄

I'm very extroverted, so I wouldn't call myself "quiet" but like the link says, I can go a LONG time in silence when the mood strikes. I'm loud with long periods of silence is the best way to say it. I am very much into higher intelligence/expanding my mind, have experimented with hallucinogenics to expand in greater ways...this is another thing that has been mentioned in some of my chart descriptions which I find uncanny for me.

Since we're on mercury, you also have it opposite Saturn

http://astromatrix.org/Horoscopes/Planet-Aspects/Mercury-Opposition-Saturn
Also quite accurate, although thank god I grew out of the "bending the truth" bit to get my way. I was quite manipulative as a child, especially because I always looked so sweet. In college, my opinions and judgment lost me friends for sure and I would isolate myself. These are all things I feel like I have grown out of, I'm curious to see what it was going to say about ideal careers but it cut off.
