How chauvinism signs are.
Take a sign someone is in and that sign has the prettiest people, the smartest people, the best lovers, etc.

What also funny is that if someone has a bad experience in a sign all the people under that sign are horrible, lack intelligence, never say anything worth repeating.

Granted this is not a statement of every person on this board. But doesn't that attitude get tiring? It sure is tiring to read.

Yes. On a board like this, generalizations are going to happen no matter what, and it isn't always bad. But, once you start hearing things like 'I'll never date another -insert sign-, again!', I think a line is crossed. For me, that line is how much I believe in astrology to determine my fate/compatibility. Which, I don't think anyone should believe in like that. There are people out there with charts that say you two should not get along...but that you will get along perfectly with. And saying things involving physical characteristics and astrology is utter nonesense, if you really plan to take it seriously. People look how they do because of genetics, not because they're an Aries, or Cancer, etc. It's fun to think about and share your ideas on, but once you start actually believing these things to be true, then, you need to take a step back. Though, because people like to assume on here, I'll just let it be known that you can't tell who really believes it or not until they tell you, outright. The person who said 'I'll never date another whatever', could not actually believe that. But, I do feel bad for all the people who got too deep there and fully trust and believe in astrology. It's not perfect no matter how you look at it. People just have to find something to be angry at, or dislike, because of their experiences, so they take it out on a sign. Likewise, people want to be proud of who they are, so they hold their sign to be above others, occasionally.

But, to answer more along the lines of what you wanted, yes, it does get tiring, and slightly angering, too. And, we will continue to be tired by it, unfortunately.

I know they're usually joking, but I get tired of it, nonetheless. That's like saying 'Scenic, your personality is wrong because you take everything too seriously. Fix it if you want to be on the internet.' I don't ask you guys to change or 'take things seriously', do I? I'm sorry, but I absolutely don't like my personality traits to be critiqued, even jokingly, because there's nothing wrong with them, and it's just how I am. Once again, I know you guys were joking, but I'm also allowed to feel offended by it, take it personally, and react however I want to it, just as you're allowed to not take it personally, laugh about it, or whatever else you want to do, as long as it's within reason. Meaning, if you start sounding like you should be in an insane asylum, something is probably wrong.

Sounds like a plan! I will be having fun because while you enjoy laughing, I enjoy the conversation, which gives me equal enjoyment. I don't know why being light-hearted, non serious is seen as the only way a person can have fun.

No, no, I know! I said I knew you guys were joking. I wasn't even sure if they were directed at anyone in particular, but when I feel strongly about something, or feel it's partly related to me, I have a hard time keeping it to myself, unfortunately. But, all my opinions are meant to be non-offensive, at least. Based on your first comment, I'm not worrying about you taking offense to my comment, either.
On a scale from reading books to sports, I'm at about historical fiction. Haha. Even though that really doesn't make any sense....

I recently read a post and it sparked this thread and it made me thing hm...are people serious or joking cause its sometimes difficult to tell on the web. Sometimes its pretty funny at others its puzzling.
