Heya Polaris,

I will check out that site. Saw your other post and read that you like to sing in your garage. Why not start a garage band!!! Not original HAHAHA. Also read you have mellowed out the last few years. Don't you still have the crazy in you sometimes—

Yesterday the weather here was beautiful so we took out the Harley and flew on down the road a piece.

Take care, Oh and I did see your other comment of steadfast friend. I call it "I'm a forever friend"!!!

Well Linda, I want another bike myself, my best friend is against that. She is afraid of me getting hurt, because of my love for speed. Cant help that, it is in the blood. I have raced, Cars, Motorcycles, Snowmobiles and Go-Karts. I am an adrenaline junky ! I only act my age when I have to! I am going to post a new one, the best pranks I ever pulled! Holy crap, to say I have mellowed out over the years is putting it mildly! I think most people would not believe some of the stuff I have done. Its rare for me not to have some kind of exciting idea going on in my head. So what part of the south are you in that you could go crusin yesterday?? I am jealous. I want some decent weather!!!

Hi Linda, I just checked out your web site. Nice ! Personality wise, you are an inspiration, as in fun loving, caring, serious when you need to be as well as descreit. There is no doubt you are intelligent. I wish you luck with your book. I would like to write a book I think. . . . . "My romantic adventures during Vietnam Era" could upset a few people . . . "The best Pranks I ever Pulled" could get me sued if someone copied me and screwed up, . . . . . "The worst times I ever spent in a HOSPITAL" would get some laughs, but, I would feel guilty if it made someone not go, just because I had such a bungled bunch of wannebes, dosnt mean other hospitals would have such idiots, and then there is the "Times I had my heart Broke", but, I figure, I might have changed things if the shoe was on the other foot, and last but not least, the easiest one to write would be, "How I married my Best Friend, Because God gave her to me !!!" Only problem is, who the heck would buy something like that —— Well, you lucky Arizonian, have a nice day, good luck on your book. BTW were you in the USAF —

Well Hi right back to you Polaris.

So you did your detective work I see!!! I like your book Ideas. You should write things down when you think of them. You never know what people will find interesting, you should have more faith in yourself.

My hubby and I rode back to Milwaukee last August for the 100th Anniversary of Harley Davidson. I kept a journal,
25 days and 4500 miles of smiles. I'm trying to finish my novel and seemed to have too many characters for one book! I always wanted to write and did over the years, but I am so blessed to be able to do it full time now.

So tell me what is your local??

Seems you and I are about the same age group.

Take care,

Candle-girl, we probably are! My local is Mid Michigan, but, due to my job going to Mexico, that may change. I still got 15 years before I can retire, obviously, you retired early? Hey, we got warm air and sunshine today. I do have faith in myself, and MURPHY'S LAW !!! I hold a wealth of info in my head, . . .problem is, it aint enough to git me ahead anytime soon, and no one is buying that kind of info, . ..know what I mean— I have been trying to figure out everybodys age, it is hard !!! Big mystery, and I think some like it that way, . . . yes—??

CG, I do like mr Seger. Skunk Works is familiar sounding, dont know what it was, but, definitely the other cool stuff, not to mention, "The BlackBird" OMG Back in 1975, I and a couple of buddys snuck into a hangar (we were stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB)in Goldsboro, NC. We got to see one of those bad boys take off at night, as a matter of fact, we had some real red bud back then, and watching something like that was a major thrill! I spent 9 years in the USAF. Wanted to make a career out of it, but, that is another story. I built munitions for uncle sam, during the end of VN. Got a chance to cross train after that, but, if people only knew what we had 20 or 30 years ago, they would realize what they are seeing today, . . .is not new! So, now you see why the interest, cause I like that stuff!

Hey Polaris,

That would be the SR71. Precursor to the Space Program. I was there for it's last flight. They could not keep it in service due to cost and enviromental concerns.

My Husband, Ken, who I didn't meet until 5 years ago, worked in Okiwana on that very Program. See what a small, but beautiful world. Oh we have some stories to tell.

I like how, you said God sent you your woman. I too think God sent me Kenny though later in life. He was in the Navy, Submarine service. He is a hoot.

Great meeting you Mr. Polaris Sir.

Candlegirl, the pleasure is mine! You are right, when people find out how scary that plane was, they usually dont believe you. Like how it leaked fuel like crazy when cold, just how much it really used to stay up there, not to mention, the outrageous cost to take offs, but, OMG, they were absolutely wild. I was stationed at Eglin in the early 80s and I saw some neat stuff there. Cant say much more . .
I just got done sending an email to some people who think our GIs today are getting the same raw deal the VietNam vets got, and I must say, I probably did not make any new friends on that one. To my knowledge, our boys today get to use the new gadgets, we were forced to stop using high tech during VN. To my knowledge, we have not just left our troops anywhere this time, just because they were unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. And last but not least, Saddam did not have 1 third the backing that the Viet Cong did. . . . . SORRY . . . it is hard seeing the damage done to our boys, back then and now, it may be necessary in the most part, but, we did alot of damage to ourselves, . . . again...

Darling, you are right, I am NOT John Kerry, and I am not a republican either !George has become a stinker of all stinkers, in the Bush Clan. Dont forget Kerrys actions during VN. George dont care about the little guy, so, which is the lesser of the two evils— Heck I dont know. A GO GO dancer eh? Holy Flying Horse Tails Batman, what does Como Se LLama mean?? Anything to do with camels? Perry? A Hawiian rest home in Kuwait— You cant do this, and leave me hanging, . . . well, I guess you can, its not like I have anything I can do about it!! And why did not Sloane go meet you?? Lets do a book together, all of us who are brave enough, kind of a mixture of Charlies Angels, James Bond and Fantasy Island ! What do you say ? We certainly have enough characters, dont we—

OK, an email is on the way. I can not believe how long that took me! So, later sister. Wanna sing Dale Evans, "Happy Trails To You" —? Come one, Trigger liked it. You didnt see him walk away when she sang it did you? Course, he was used to hearing Roy all the time. Would you believe I think I saw all of his movies— And you all have probably figured that I love Abbott and Costello as well as the 3 Stooges . . . . Got hooked on em way back as I used my bong with crushed ice and cherry kool-aid !!! I know some of you know what I am talking about. . . . . . .

Hey CG, Polaris was one of the names for specific type of missle, it also means North Star I think, and there was also Polaris Submarines, etc.etc. AND, I drank Cold Duck a long long time ago, but, I never used it in a bong! And I have no intentions of following my job that far south! Heck, just go to the Washington DC airport, Dulles I think it is, holy crap, just go into that area, and you will need to speak spanish big time.

Lava Lights, black lights and black light posters. Rare Earth Posters, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin. Hey, I wonder how many of us are alive, that actually heard Janis and Jimi play, . . live — I remember the first time I saw Janis on TV, . . . got to admit, I was not turned on by her looks. My 13 year old, has 2 lava lights and 1 or 2 disco balls. Cant count the posters in her room.

Hi CG, well I think they probably remember if they did not get burned out, or maybe they did not like her, so, would not admit it anyway, eh? I would like to run in to some friends from high school who really liked that music, but, they were not the type to stay in contact with anyone in particular. I do have a freind who retired from American Airlines I think, down in Florida, he has a Harley, and he and his lady do some serious riding. I have too many years to go before I can retire. WHAT A DRAG I am paying for wasting too much money on Toys, racing, and bad judgement , . . . . know what I mean —?

Bad Judgement, that's not a Libra trait HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Toys are fun everybody needs their toys.

Getting ready for the Laughlin Harley run in two weeks. 2 Years ago there was a shoot out between the Monguls and the HA's at Harrah's. That was the first time in 20 years there was any trouble. No colors allowed anymore, no glass, no cans, only plastic cups. I hate to drink beer in plastic cups. HAHA

Going fishing on the river with our company from WA. They have this jetboat, fishing boat, complete with fish finder. Should be good.

Tell ya all about it.

Love,

CG Bad Judgement is just around the corner.

Freebird, I never saw much on your hobbies, boo boos,or even what you do besides go walking in the park. I think you like being a mystery to us folk in cyber land. So, now, I got to come up with a mystery question that will actually hook you into trying to figure it out. You are the biggest mystery here, in fact, one could ask you a thousand questions, no matter how curios the cat, Tweety picks and chooses what she answers, just to tease and agravate, . . .eh? Let me think . . . . how about something to do with ice, or cold thunderstorms that keep us locked up, waiting for the tomorrow that never comes, . . . how about, . . . . . . .lets grab some mikes lemonaide and go fishing. . . . Or Myrtle Beach and walk the piers, go visit Ripleys Museum or go to the huge aquarium and ride the moving walkway under the sharks and go upstairs and feel the stingrays moving through the waa waa . . . . went down there a while back, right after a tornadoe tore up some hotels on the beach. . . .two years ago in fact ! Whatever are you thinking —? Are you sad? Happy ? Do you want an orange push-up —

CG, you have fun fishing and riding. You must be enjoying some really nice weather there. It is cold and rainy here. I wanna play couch potatoe in the raw with Meg Ryan or Melanie Griffith, watch Lord of the Rings Trilogy, eating green seedless grapes, Granny Smith apples, or take a balloon ride down in the bahamas or some such. Today is a good day for fantasys. . .
Anywho, hope your ride is a safe trip, and if you are wetting a line, hope you catch a nice one !!

Hi Polaris...

whew....never really thought of myself as a "mystery" person...hmmmm I find this very interesting though. Okay, I have been to Myrtle Beach...I LOVED the Aquarium!!!!! I know someday I will have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. (one of my many dreams). I work with Hospice helping those who are dying to make their journey comfortable for them. I am a single parent..and LOVE IT!!!!! I enjoy toys... playing connect four, blowing bubbles anywhere, anytime. I love to play with life....after all....planet earth to me is a giant playground. No matter where you go, there is always something to do, someone to talk with...something to discover. I enjoy thunderstorms and being couped up in the house during one. It is a beautiful day here today...I am going to plant some poppies soon, cool flowers. The dogwoods are blooming and plants are growing. Spring time in the south....awesome! Okay, what did you mean about the ice? I KNOW what I enjoy doing with Ice....splain to me Ricky.... I am very, very happy...I had a relationship with an Aquarian man and I must admit...that through me for a loop but, the neat thing was I learned that I am a very strong woman and nothing has gotten me down yet...well, maybe down momentarily but not for long! I suppose one may typecast me as a "tigger" at times. I have learned to not believe everything I hear but observe what I see and that is the truth for me. You want to know what I do? I am attending the School of Life University. I seem to have quite a bit of experiences coming to me...I know that when they enter my life that I am ready to deal with them. I have not been put in time out (yet)...although I am sure that those who cannot figure me out would love to put me under a microscope to see what makes me tick.....

Will suffice for now? and yes, I do need an orange push-up popsicle...got one for me?

I hope that you are enjoying your cool weather...snuggly stuff...nice.

Freebird, this was a once in a lifetime deal, no holds barred, no BS, serious ! While I was stationed at Eglin AFB, in Ft Walton Beach Florida, I bought an old 12 and a half foot boat, with a 35 horse motor on it. I totally rebuilt the boat, to go fishing in the bay, inside of Destin Pass, about a mile from where they made the first movie of JAWS !! I spent alot of time on the boat, new paint, seats, you name it. I was assigned to Civil Engineers there. Anyway, for her maiden voyage, I had a civilian friend, who by the way introduced me to Ann McAffrey and her books on the planet Pern, The White Dragon etc. So, back to story, his name was Don, great guy to work with, good friend, and he wanted to go with me to try out the new boat, of which I had spent almost 4 months completely rebuilding it. Small boat, so, the day we took it out, Don brought along a couple numbers and a bottle of wine and some soda's (pop for you yankees) We first almost sank the boat, cause we forgot to screw in the back plug. We were cruising along, and the boat kept going slower and slower, I was not feeling pain, I was feeling pretty good, I said to Don, hey man, shouldnt this thing go faster, he said, give it all the gas, I said, It is ! He looked in the back at the motor, and said, OH SHOT MAN head for shore, we are sinking, I looked back, and the back of the boat, was almost full of water !! He jumped back there and started bailing with the bucket we had, and then found the plug, and put it in, OMG was I scared ! I did not have insurance on the boat, so naturally, that ruined our buzz, so we finally found a place on the other side of the bay, where Don had fished before for salt water trout(they are silver, like rainbows, but, a little skinnier)anyway, there was no wind or waves, water like glass, so we just coasted to a stop, through out the lines waiting for the fish to bite. Naturally, it was hot, and the soda didnt last me long, and the Wine was gone, so I just happened to look up on shore, of which we were only about 75 yards from, and there was a wazoo of people watching us and pointing ! I said to Don, do you suppose they saw us almost sink this boat? He said, naw, they must be looking at something behind us, we turned could not see anything ! I pulled my line out of the water, still had the shrimp on it, and I looked down at the water, and we were surrounded by a bunch of Dolphins !! I thought I was gonna crap my pants, I whispered to Don, Man you wont believe what we have here, I pointed down, and he looked like he was going to start running! Then the weirdest thing I ever saw in my life ! This big one kind of floated up from down under, upside down on its back, holding a brand new baby !!! There was at least 3 babys!!! Altogether, there had to be 9 to 11 dolphins !! At first I was scared so bad, I wanted to crap blue beans, then I realized, very few people in the world have ever been this close to brand new babys ! We watched the babys start swimming for their first time in their lives, and they stayed right next to our boat, it was so wild ! When they would surface, and blow out the remaining air, sometimes the air had some water and we would feel the spray ! It was like 85 or 90 out there, not too hot, but, we were roasting and too afraid to move. It made me so afraid to start the boat, I did not want to spook them, or accidently hurt the babies. This whole experience lasted for probably 20 minutes to a half hour. Don reached out into the water, and felt one of the fins on the adults. I was only brave enough to lean over the side and look down at them, and they were sometimes like 15 inches away from me, but, I was too afraid to spook them. So mesmerizing, graceful, and even though I knew they would not hurt us, I was too afraid to reach out and touch them. They slowly started to move away, and we never saw them the rest of the afternoon. I could see in their eyes, and I knew they were looking at us, close ! The people on shor
