I find people's focus odd when it comes to factoring in compatibility. Seems to me the 2 main signs that would factor into relationships is the Moon and Rising. In fact Sun should be practically irrelevant considering it's the Ego and Outerself aka not one's True Self. As well the moon is emotions, which is relevant to Love and one's own emotional needs. Rising is how you appear on the surface and affect the world around you.

I would even take MID-HEAVEN over Sun sign any day. As it's your place in things. A big thing that factors into compatibility is one's PURPOSE in life. If someone is in complete and utter violation of your own purpose, I cannot even fathom how it's supposed to work or why you would want it to.

I mean, I'm personally not a believer in the whole chart thing anyways. The only thing I've seen actual scientific evidence to support any credibility towards astrology is merely in those 4 basic signs. All the decan talk, etc. Well the reality is it's a well known fact that when scientists attempt to match people to their chart... it's a 50/50 chance. Equal to Chance. I'm not trying to turn this into a debate, I'm just sayin. Feel free to disagree especially on this part of it.

But ultimately I mean shit. I'd question whether we should even see... say... a Sun sign Scorpio as the "true" Scorpio. The focus on the sun sign itself, is odd to me. My rising makes me vastly more true to the stereotype on the surface than simply having a Scorpio Ego does.

Lastly... is it just me or for instance with my Sun Sign and Moon sign combination... doesn't it kind of seem like they make Scorpio unto themselves? Like if you combine the stereotypical Libra and the Stereotypical Pisces... you practically get Scorpio unto itself? Or at least Scorpio Rising. Which is funny because my Rising IS Scorpio. But like, if you saw it more as an alchemy. It's just weird, especially because I know you can have the same sun and moon sign as me but have a different rising.

The Scorpio realises that the ego is a complex ecosystem of Actions, Emotions and Thought which has roots planted deeply in every aspect of ones chart. The Scorpio respects his ego for the 9 Headed hydra that it is. The Scorpio battles his ego the entire life. And knows it is not something he can simply detach from. But underneath all that is your Soul, And your Soul has NOTHING to do with astrology.

I never said the Sun Sign never had significance. I just mean it seems irrelevant to love and relationships. The Ego is not emotion, that's the moon sign. For thought it's mostly about HOW you think, not WHAT you think.

Also I don't know that as a Rising I'm battling my surface affect. It's more like I'm battling the rest of the world. Also 9 headed hydra? Try COSMIC GOD lmao.

Nevermind that look the way you sound about it? That's what I'm talking about. THAT, doesn't sound intense in the way that matters to people. The craze about Scorpios is that people expect Scorpios to turn that intensity towards them. When really Scorpio Ego is basically really just a sad case of conflict with self. It's the Rising Sign who battles others and the intensity of the Scorpio is aimed at others.

I tend to agree as well; ancient astrologers actually used the ascendant to detrmine primary characteristics and compatibility between signs. But because many people don't know or record the time of birth, using Sun signs became more common...because it's easier. I could say more but I'm short on time at the moment.

I honestly just thought it was just a new aged misconception or something. Thanks for the info.
