Venus in the 1st house

Is it like having a Venus in Aries or Libra? From what I read it says both. All this damn time I thought my venus was in my 2nd house. Also does this affect your sun sign by being in the 1st house?

I have Venus in the 1st house too. The first house belongs to Aries, 2nd Taurus, and so on. I think it's a stretch to say it's like having Venus in Aries. I think it's like Venus on octane. However, Venus in Aries is in detriment just like Venus in the 1st.

Saying Venus in the 1st is like having Venus in Aries is a very simplistic approach to understanding astrology. Myself for example: I am also Venus dominant with my Venus being my most aspected planet...all trines with almost every placement to include asteroids... there is no way you can ignore all that and summarily say I have Venus in Aries.

The seventh house belong to Libra.

What I read was that because venus belongs to libra and the 1st house is ruled by Aries that your venus being placed there is like having one of those venus signs. Just relaying what I read. It said it makes one impulsive in love, big grand gestures of love, and some other shit...lol

Venus in the 1st house means you pay attention to yourself and how you look. Venus is also your personality. Friendly.
