What energy does Pluto represent?

Hey y'all, what kind of energy or aspect of the personality is Pluto supposed to represent in astrology?

I'm really interested because according to my chart Pluto is having a good influence on me since its trine my ascendent, sun, and Venus. So, as opposed to Saturn wreaking havoc on so much of my chart Pluto is helping it. How should I think of it manifesting itself? That it rebuilds me from the ashes? I could see that with my new attitude since almost dying in that car wreck.

Pluto and 8th house energies are symbolic of a place where concerns of the physical world go to die and are then reborn into a higher state of existence. Like the 12th house, these energies represent the darkness everyone has to pass through in order to obtain greater strength of self and awareness of the world around us. As star said it is a transformation energy.

Pluto does not tolerate secrets and will drag all closeted skeletons out into the light, sometimes to the point of obsession and paranoid suspicion. By that nature it also rules over taboos, and, to some extent sexual nature.
