I didn't watch your video link -probably later. There's people who like astrology, there's people who don't. I like it and I hope I can learn more about it. My take is, that some things in life can be taken as placebo pills, if you believe it works for you, it will. If you don't, well you don't have to either.

but I've seen others completely defy their charts ...& then I get confused
so inherently yes I beleive but I'm constantly amazed 2 or 3 peeps of the same sign can be very different then upbringing intelligence & maturity come into play which allows us to trump our bad aspects...as will better placements in other areas (aka moon Venus etc...)hhhmmm cuz then we can also temporarily revert back to our inherent whether zodiacal or just human nature...

So in reality, instead of being say a virgo you would be one sign ahead which would be Libra. Do you believe this or not? I am not sure. I am on the cusp of gemini and cancer, I'm an exact cusp date, I feel a lot like both signs. So I have no idea...lol

Oh, really? Well, I believe it can be possible too. I remember I had a question on Progressed Charts in this Forum (still waiting for any response...) and it seems to make sense with that statement of signs being off after a certain period of time. So, yeah. The universe is in constant motion, it makes sense.

NO, I know how dumbass astroNomers say we're off a sign or whatever,
but that is false.
(and we are technically "off" about 85% of a sign, if you look at the constellations.)
HOWEVER,
there is a difference between the PHYSICAL constellation,
and the SPIRITUAL dates of the signs!!
a person's sign is determined by the Sun's ray shining onto the earth at the location of one's birth,
casting a metaphysical cosmic shadow into the constellation, hence determining a person's sign.
the 12 sign's dates still hold its power metaphysically over the Sun
even when the Sun is not in an actually constellation itself. (because it has supposedly "shifted")
for example Taurus ( mwuahahaha!! >=[ ) is April 20 - May 21
The Sun's influence does not enter the physical Taurus constellation until May 13,
yet everyone born from April 20 to May 12 are STILL Taurus, with Taurus traits and characteristics.
the traits are only intensified by the time the actually constellation starts.
meaning Taurus born May 13 - May 21 are more intensely Taurus than other Taureans.
because our energies are expressed more strongly.
and that is the TRUE meaning of a - true Taurus, true Aries, true Leo, etc etc.
speaking of which,
for the entire sign of Libra, the constellation of Libra does not meet at any point at all,
Libra constellation doesn't start until the middle of Scorpio.
For the entire sign of Libra, they do not have the power of their constellation at any point,
therefore, there is NO such thing as a true Libra. nope.
and that is also why Libras men are such indecisive weak sauce wimps.
Libra chicks are usually pretty hot, but I don't like their personality either.
Look up the length and actual days of the constellations,
it is REDICULOUS to say that we're off 1 sign or 2 or 1.256 or whatever!
BECAUSE
the constellations do NOT have the same length,
there are only 7,8 days for Scorpius, and there are around 40 days for Virgo.

the 12 signs, according to the ancient teachings of my pagan ancestors,
are the 12 gods/goddess ruling over our souls.
Freyja/Aphrodite/Venus/Ishtar/Isis ruling over Taurus.

I believe in it simply b/c of the HUGE amount of coincidence there is once a person actually gets down to the nitty-gritty of astrology. I'm not talking about daily horoscopes and/or any information that comes from a magazine column. I'm talking about what true astrologers have come up with.
I don't believe in taking in astrology so much so that it becomes the basis for which you define yourself & others. BUT I do believe that it helps in understanding why some people are the way they are. B/c astrology claims to deprive from science (yet isn't scientifically proven), I place a great deal of belief in it. I can't deny that when I read about my sign (And ESPECIALLY my natal) chart, 99% of it just happens to be true and/or right on point. And the same holds true with others once I know their sign & natal chart; everything is always DEAD on & describes them too a tee. So I'll say this, I don't completely shut it out BUT I don't completely astrology all lies/bogus either!
There are other factors that influence character/personality outside of astrology like race/culture/age/geographical location & most of all, individual/different experiences. For this reason, I only give so much power/thought when it comes down to trying to figure out someone's personality before I even really get the chance to know them. I see some people who take astrology to the extreme though. For example, if some astrology book tells them that they are not compatible with a certain sign, they will LITERALLY stay away from that specific sign. I think that is way overboard.
Numerology is the one thing I'm still having trouble placing faith in.

This is my real basis for belief in it as well. We believe in so many other things just on the basis that it has been thought and taught for years but do we really know what's all real or not even when based on science. I know that when I read about my sign/natal chart that it fits me to a tee!
I have to say that I did a whole numberology report and I am a Lifepath 11 and it is so on point that it amazed me. I also get a 'Life Guide report' each day and it has been pretty on target as well...(((twilight zone music playing in the background)))

Then I realized that the institution of much of modern psychology/psychiatry has a fundamentally atheistic stand.
Astrology is a lost science, and it was once a form of 'high knowledge.' It was not something everyone possessed, nor discussed in the kind of casual, pop-psychology manner that it is today. There are other traditions for it besides Western and Chinese - eg. Vedic astrology (where there's even different methodologies of astrological thought between Northern and Southern India). Also during the time of the Ottoman empire and in early Islamic history, certain Sufi sheykhs and other Muslim scholars studied the science of the stars - what the Turks call 'yildizname', and there were entire books devoted to the subject.
