Moon
I'm Moon in Leo. The best way to motivate me is to come to me with the idea that I'm the best for the job.click to expand

Posted by blackphaseI think how your manager treats you makes a HUGE difference in your motivation.
I think it really comes down to how much you enjoy what you do. If you are not happy in your career you will not be motivated to work very hard, where as if you are in a career that you love, you'll likely strive to do well.

Posted by ElleDuMondeThat's reassuring.
I didn't answer your question......your topic excited me. lol
Anyone can be motivated.......if you work with their moon, merc and mars. Even the most seemingly difficult person.

Posted by ElleDuMondeI had a feeling that astrology could play into it successfully.Posted by truecapwhen I assigned the core members of my team....I initially looked at moon/mercury and then mars.
It's not about me, personally.
I'm more interested in the management aspect of motivating employees to want to strive and do better. I was wondering if you knew their chart, then which aspect to work from.
I had to pair people up between two different physical sites and some had never even spoken or been in the same room as the other.
It's now nine months later and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
I stayed away from same elements paired with the same elements....I took some risks and paired fixed with mutable and cardinal and mutable.....those were my best matches. fixed and cardinal....sometimes you get a pissing match (lol).
I also needed a very detailed data analyst and interviewed several.....one stuck out to me......libra sun/scorp moon/virgo venus/mars gemini.......five months later and this person has exceeded all my expectations......extremely detail oriented, organised, can be locked in his office for hours on end, can also get along well with others......he is truly magic with his skill set.
It really depends on what the objective and deliverable is.
We also use the Culture Index....but I think that is just a bunch of hogwash.click to expand

Isn't the midheaven responsible for this?

Posted by truecap...so as a manager, you manage the employee in a way that will make them love what they do. Mission accomplished. Bring forth what they love and their strengths - make them feel valued and useful(may include placing them in some other role). Imo, the best way of making people do things, and to do it well, is to make them want to.Posted by blackphaseI think how your manager treats you makes a HUGE difference in your motivation.

You can be in a career you love with a horrible manager and not be motivated to strive. If your manager stifles you, you wouldn't be happy.
You can also be in a career you loathe, however, a motivational manager can sometimes be enough to make you happy.
