A mother's love...or lack thereof

They always say us Cancers have an "intense relationship" with our mothers, either good or bad. For every Cancer I've ever met that definitely rings true. In my case, my relationship with my mom is on the bad side of that spectrum. I'm just curious about my fellow Cancerian's experience with this....how has your relationship with your mom impacted your life? Do you feel like it's helped you or hurt you? I'd love to hear some of your experiences!

Mamacontender is a saint. She's my bestest friend. She knows errything about me and vise versa. We have inside jokes and kick it extra hard. she is the epitome of a cancer woman and mother. She wasn't around much when I was younger due to her work schedule so my confidence was shit but as soon as we got reconnected it was on and cracking. Mamacontender shall forever be my mami in this life and the next.

My mother was difficult. I don't think she smiled for the first 6 years of my life. I have strong loyalties to her but had to turn my back on her as a mother in order to accept her as a person. Our relationship is good now.

me n my mom are both cancers, and we dont have a relationship...the only communication that we share is hi when i wake up in the morning...i want to get to kno her n talk to her about stuff, but i feel like that chance left..im 21 n i still live with her. im transferring to uni next spring. so hopefully when i leave me and her can have a relationship or someting n i can call her for advice n stuff when im away..idk it suckssss...n when i was a baby/young child i was a super mamas girl..boy how times have changed..im now more a daddys girl.(hes a capricorn) i cant talk to him about almost anything, he always kept the lines of communication open with me n my sisters. my mom never really talked to us. she was always wrapped up in her own emotions and problems. this became very prominent after the divorce...so yeah i guess its different with all mothers no matter what the sign is.

My mom is a pain in my ass LOL! BUT she IS my mother and I respect her without jeopardizing my own thoughts and beliefs. I love her and would do anything LEGAL for her, BUT I don't like her! She's a scorp and I am a Cancer...if she wasn't my mom, I wouldn't acknowledge her presence!!!

It sounds bad I know, but my mom is a sneaky little thing and if she wasn't my mother I would have written her off YEARS AGO LOL! Same with my scorp sis...if she wasn't my blood, she would not be a part of my life. I've given them chances because they are blood, but if they weren't my family *kick rocks*

Now my Gemimi sister...I couldn't imagine life without her!!!

I always knew my mom to be spectacular! Shes a pisces, and my best friend. I remember her baking in the kitchen,and always taking care of me, emotionally supporting me and standing by me no matter what. We have a special bond. I would die if anything happened to her. Growing up though, i was a daddys girl, After my Virgo dad passed away, i started clinging to my mom more than i use to. I Think i was closer to my dad because he was so laid back and understanding, and my mom would freak out over the little stuff,and worry way too much! If anyone hurts my mom, i get evil. She dated a man recently and he beat her, very badly. I found out and went to their house, saw her all bruised up. I ended up breaking his nose in five places and threw him down three flights of stairs, he is now somewhere out there, he became a carney.. something about him being scared of me... *Shrug* ... I love my pisces mommy!!!
