I read somewhere that it's very common for cancers to abuse drugs/alcohol/etc... the only "bad thing" about my cancer so far is that he smokes pot quite often.. although it seems like EVERYONE in Canada smokes it and having an American upbringing, it just seems different to me. It doesn't really bother me A LOT, mostly because I don't see much of a difference in his personality when he's high, unlike my gemini ex who would act like a total annoying douchebag everytime he got drunk. I don't like that he's tired all the time though..

in canada if you get caught smoking a joint, you get at most a small fine. in america, you get jail time. that might explain some of the cultural differences between the countries.

but do cancers have propensity towards addictive personalities? yes. all the water signs do. this is not to say that they are all addicts or even close. a modicum more than others is not a mole hill is not a mountain.

Absolutely. I'm not addicted to any "things" but I'm addicted to saying yes. Many times I'll completely disregard my own feelings to avoid giving anyone the disappointment of saying no...I'm working on stopping that but it's very hard.

Yeah Cancers do tend to have addictive personalities and I find the same true of Pisces. Its the escapist element of our nature.

amen to this!

I think water folk need to chose the addiction that enhances rather then deters action in their life. I have a drug of choice. Yes, I use it to unwind and escape but I ALSO use it to spark my imagination and creativity. I dream up the most amazing things... then I put the plan into action and make the dreams come true. Hell, I can get lost in the most mundane activities like housework, gardening, laundry.

I'd rather be on a drug like that than be addicted to destructive men or draining, demoralizing people.
