Abrupt Cancerian Man Behavior? WHOA!

Been with this Cancerian guy for about 2 months. At first, everything was fantastic! But these past two weeks he's SUDDENLY been doing this:

-Slimming down communication
-Seeming distant
-Being slow & random with calling me back and texting me back
-He tells me that he loves me sooo much and misses me, but just lately ain't been acting like it.

I asked if he still wanted a relationship & if he was happy. He told me yes! I also asked him he felt like I was smothering him and he state "Not at all. You're my lady!"

Is this typical of Cancerian man who is cheating or no longer happy in a relationship?
