Airy Crabs

How are Crabs with lots of air placements set apart from the typical Cancer sun sign? Are they more or less in tune with their softer side? I can see it going both ways, either being able to express themselves better because they can separate themselves from their emotions to deal with them at a more intelectual level OR avoid their emotions completely. This guy I've been trying to figure out for the past 1.5 years just turned 30.

I recently was able to step away from picking him apart to realize he's going with the flow for the most part. He completely dodges direct questions, but otherwise, he's an open book in how he expresses himself.
