I'm not sure what to make of this, but I was having lunch with my guy friend and I wanted to kinda layout my feelings for him(not to much) he has a lot on his plate and avoids dating...So he mentioned he thinks he likes some girl that's long-distance but not sure of her intentions, etc. I told him(as a friend) that he unintentionally gave me mixed signals for years like, "You are more then a friend, but we can only be friends". He agreed his pattern in the past was to push girls away. Then he started getting really emotional and kept saying "I've been a jerk toward you." I mean, he never led me on(I knew his intentions) so why did he get soo upset? Do you think he still has feelings for me, but in denial?
