CANCERS PLEASE HELP I NEED AN ADVICE

Hi, so im a sagittarius girl and i recently broke up with my cancer boyfriend. I instantly met another cancer right after the break up and everything went so well! (idk whats with me and cancers) We met every weekend and was talking/flirting everyday for a month. One day he decided to make a move on me and tried to kiss me but i backed off. Ever since that happen, he has been very distant. I tried explaining in the nicest way possible and said 'I feel so safe around you, im just scared cause im still hurt' But things changed drastically ever since and he ignored me 2 days after long-replying-texts. Its been a week that we havent talked to each other and he didnt even greet me New Years. Im not sure if i still have a chance with this guy. I really liked him.... Im not sure if i hurt him or he just wasnt that interested to begin with. He was really nice though, great listening ears and has always been a gentleman to my eyes. Introduced me to his friends and was touchy infront of our friends. He even told all his friends I was his crush.

Do you think he'll come back? If i did hurt him, what can i do to mend things. Now that he's ignoring me, should I give him space or talk to him again?

If you're a cancer, how would u react/feel if ur crush said that he/she is still hurt from previous relationship?

I know... i feel really bad with the fact that he's feeling rejected. I was wondering if there is anything that I can do to change the situation around? Its my sagittarius mind that I feel the need to tell the truth about how im feeling 😢 do i at least get credit for being honest from a cancers perspective?

Thank you for the replies everybody! And u guys have definitely opened up another perspective for me. As for a sag, I would still talk and try if i like someone but i guess that isn't the case with cancers once they feel rejected. Our last convo was in good speaking terms but he just stopped replying about 1 week ago. He is now on vacation with his family. How would you recommend of me to start a conversation again with this guy? Or should i just let him be since cancers need their private time to be respected and he was the one who didn't reply.

Btw, this guy's sun and moon is both in Cancer. Venus in Leo.
