I see the cancer I'm dating every day. We usually get together after I get out of school and we stay together until one of us has to go to class or work. We spend a great deal of time making out when parents aren't around. We've only been officially dating for a little over a week and we??re both virgins, but he already wanted to move onto —third base?? yesterday. He asked permission and I said no lol because I don't want to move so fast.

When you lost your virginity, how fast did it happen? Did you regret it?

And how fast do you usually move into sex in a new relationship?

awww you're so cute. Honey, I'm 22 and I'm still a virgin. I dated a guy for a year and a half and I didn't lose it to him.. I wasn't in love. You are so young and you have SO much at stake. This guy is already trying to do that after just one week— That sends red flags right away. Most of my friends aren't virgins anymore.. but they dated their boyfriends for at least like 4 months before they lost it to them. My friend who's had sex with like 5 people dated one guy for 8 months and didn't have sex with him, which is good because he turned out to be a jerk, but anyways. You're going way too fast. You may think you're "in love" and you're "ready" but if HE loves you back he'll wait. I'm not saying to wait til your married because in this day and age that's almost impossible, but if you give it up too soon.. what else left will there be? You have to make him wait or he won't think you're worth the wait. That hamburger tastes a lot better when you're starving, right? That thing you always wanted to buy is SO much more awesome when you've saved up a long time to buy it.. it's the same thing with people. We place a value on things we have to work to get, including other people. Make him wait. I understand YOU might feel like doing it and really WANT to do it, but if you don't make him wait, chances are he won't value you. That's just my two cents. :-)

Make him wait. I understand YOU might feel like doing it and really WANT to do it, but if you don't make him wait, chances are he won't value you. That's just my two cents. :-)

Yeah, I knew there was a reason I wanted to wait, I just couldn't discern it because everything about us feels so perfect. I think he's moving fast because we were stuck in this awkward 'best friend' stage for like two months (it got to the point that he went grocery and perfume shopping with me "just as friends" lol) and he's just trying to make up for lost time. Plus he's just as inexperienced as I am and is probably going off of movies where couples are fucking within a few weeks of dating.

But he'll wait if I ask. And if he doesn't, this isn't going to work out.
