I think you’ve entirely missed the point here. What man tells a woman he wants her to trick him into a relationship?
Honestly if you want to move forward with him I would ignore those grand statements of his "been waiting 35 years for you...etc. etc." and just let the relationship unfold naturally. Its only been 2 months. Time will tell whether or not he is 'the one'.
