I think I broke the cardinal rule

Cardinal..see what I did there? Ha! Anyway, just venting here..I know it takes cancer men some time to really open up but I must have forgotten last night when talking to my cancer guy. I was sharing the way I feel and he just sat there and shrugged. I told him he was so difficult to read and kept trying to dig but another shrug. He shrugged his way into oblivion! So frustrating! I then realized what I what I was doing and backed off. It's hard sometimes because I'm all about communication, especially when I feel I'm in a grey area with him. He, on the other hand, is a closed book and cracks jokes when it's getting too deep. Nevertheless, still love me some cancers :-)

As a Cancer I can say that we only give parts of ourselves or let people in by degrees. To REALLY let someone in enough to go deep and personal we have to trust....and I mean REALLY TRUST. Like, soulmate type of connecting. Some people get there exceedingly fast and others never do. It just depends.

Thanks cutegem and moonartist for your comments. You're right cutegem, It is hard not being able to be yourself and with that said I ended things with my lovely cancer man today. He's a great person but just wasn't meeting my needs and perhaps I wasn't meeting his either. He was super cool about it, no fight in him at all. We ended things in great terms so I hope we can remain in each others lives as great friends if nothing else.
