If Ex cancer expresses his feelings once and hides

If an ex cancer that you have been back in contact with for a while finally expresses him self that he misses me and says theres things we need to talk about then goes quite again??_??_.do you think he really feels those feelings or he is just playing with my feelings?

we were together for 2 years and broke up for 6months with 2 months of not talking.

I think he's just playing mind games. If he was really serious about you; you two would be talking about things, & not be broken up. He's an X for a reason.
