Lunar Male Confusion

Okay,

I am here hoping to gain insight into the lunar male psyche & hope some lunar folks can help.

I frequent a place of business owned by the looney-bird in question. For 6 months he carried on a flirtation with me...threatening to ask me to dinner or whatever.It, however, took him 4 of those months to actually get the nerve to ask for my number.

On the first date he told me he had been observing me with interest the WHOLE time, thought I was a soulmate, and would give up his celibacy(2 yrs) for me(how romantic) and thought I was amazing! Second date he was so reserved I felt we barely knew one another, though the chemistry was so thick you could cut w/ a knife..

When he DID talk he wanted to talk about his definition of the perfect LOVE in all of the deeper & esoteric(he is VERY metaphysical) aspects...the rest of the time it was the nervous jitters (we were mostly ballroom dancing--he is expert at this)

Then he wouldn't invite me into his home once because he said he was embarassed by his lack of proper decor (he lives above his shop in a partially renovated victorian home)

Now he hasn't called in three weeks because he says he is expanding his business & doesn't have extra time right now.

Why am I confused— I am a smitten Scorpio female. Any insights here—

He's scared. You know how powerful & sexy you scorp gals can be...he hasn't had sex in 2 yrs. of his own choice & here comes this girl he's ready to give it up for? You have to imagine there is some apprehension on his part.

He's probably done this to either discipline himself or because he was so hurt by another female in the past he felt the need to "withdraw" into himself to find the meaning of true love. ie why he kept wanting to discuss it.

Either way, I am willing to bet he was super nervous because he may feel like he likes you too much and doesn't want to rush anything. When a man gives up sex, the person he restores his sexuality with will NOT be someone he takes lightly...Now he has probably stopped calling because
1. He feels you aren't what he thought you were and is no longer interested. (Hopefully not)
2. He wants to really expand his business and really doesn't have extra time.
3. He is waiting for you to make a move. We test people alot to see if they really care, and this might be yours.

I have questions for you...
1. Being a Scorp, why did you wait for him to make the first move? We HATE that because we HATE rejection.
2. Have you called him in that time or are you waiting for him?
3. Have you been "forceful" with him at all about sex?
4. Did you invite him to your home? or when he said that to you, did you say "That's okay, I don't care...or did you go with the flow? (I think that might have been a test too)

You asked why I waited-- well, I have never been really forward with guys I really like in spite of what the stars may say of my sign. Can't really say why...

The only thing I did say to him pre all of his comments of 'giving it up' sexually with me was that I really admired this or that particular quality of his--i.e. his ability to form very unique opinions on a diverse range of matters--- his ability to believe in his dreams and to really put himself out there---the ability to be a celibate guy in spite of the fact that women are always throwing themselves at him & could have his pick of so many girls & the like---all very real qualities that I admired about him. I never even mentioned sex once & it shocked me to hear him approach it in that way... I think he is uncomfortable expressing himself in a personal manner with women is what I picked up.

I am friends with a lady who works for him & told her I was ga ga about him-- but only after the things he'd already confided re his feelings for me; I maybe shouldn't have talked to her because I know she really likes him too but had already given up on him & is dating someone else .

Yes I did call him last week and he said he was too busy & would call as soon as he got his business sorted out.

Yes he divorced 2 years ago & it was his second time--he has 2 daughters also who need his time & I already know he is a true workaholic (16 hour days) I don't know how he does it--sleeping 6 hrs a night even on the weekend--

He is ashamed to let me see his home also because he doesn't have time to clean, he says-- he has been to my house once--I live 60 miles from him in the country.

He probibly just wants everything to be perfect for you.

I might agree with ABCR2...

I don't know though...the twice divorced thing is DEFINITELY going to make it harder to get to this guy, but on the other hand...if you do get him, it seems like he will be a good catch.

He probably has so much going on with his life in the means of not having it together that he doesn't want to bring you into his "drama" In order to start something with him you are going to have to be VERY patient and let him progress at his own speed or he is going to shut you out. Also try to find out what happened between him & his exes especially the last one, that may be a clue as to his current behavior.

Yes, workaholics we can be especially the men, but you can always look forward to him being a good provider. Good Luck & keep me posted!

It helps to hear from two lunar people. You are really the wisest about human nature, I feel.

To me they are the perfect blend of sensitivity, wit and reserve. I have the first 2 traits it seems, and am reserved in matters of heart unless someone gives me a reason to express that passion inside waiting.

What confused me about this Cancer is that HE pushed my buttons & now feels a need to hide; to a scorpio lady that doesn't seem playing fair; I guess patience will have to be the rule here, as he is definately worth the wait...even though he is 10 yrs older, 40(!) to me he is the cutest man I know.
