Would sun gemini + moon cancer man be compatible..

Hi,
Theoretically, would a man with Sun Gemini and Cancer Moon (+ cancer venus) be compatible with a Taurus Sun and Aquarius Moon woman (+ aries venus)?
Though of course I know that people cannot be simplified to just their sun and moon signs but in general, I have noticed most people to be quite a clear mix of their sun and moon signs.
Therefore, I wanted to ask if this pairing (just based on sun and moon signs) would seem compatible?

To me, it seems that the guy's sun matches the woman's moon (Gemini and Aquarius) and the woman's sun matches (to some extent) the man's moon (Taurus and Cancer)? But most compatibility comparisons seem to compare sun with sun and moon with moon, in which case the signs are not very compatible at all.

Any answers appreciated (particularly those with experience with such sign people).
