We have known of each other for years but I have always been too shy and awkward to get to know her.
She is now 56 yrs old living in another town and divorced. Of course she is working and active with church and busy and likely ok being single. Six months ago she saw me looking at her from over the counter and asked who I was (she said she's not shy anymore), when I said my name she looked in my eyes and smiled and extended both hands, but I just offered one to shake. A week ago we were at a social event and I told myself I would speak when I saw her. I looked from afar several times but she never acknowledged so I did not approach. She probably thinks I'm a weird "Creeper", always looking. I had hoped for a reaction when I looked toward her to give me the "ok" to approach. I should determine if she has no interest. I feel there is not enough time on this earth to get to know her. I wish I would have when we were still in school.
You most definitely are shy and that's okay, as long as it doesn't STOP you from moving forward. You have an interest in this woman but I've noticed that you've also made assumptions about her. No good. You won't know until you APPROACH and ASK for YOURSELF 🤷 #bottomline Now, I'm going to be direct here and say that if you have SELF ESTEEM ISSUES linked to your shyness, the best thing to do is to WORK on yourself before initiating a romantic/love interest. But, starting with a foundation of FRIENDSHIP won't hurt either.
sweet shy bull you'd better get going or life will pass you by - don't put her on a pedestal beyond your reach - she's human too - and you don't know crap unless you get to know her better - ask her - would you like to get some coffee with me ? a cold drink ? lunch ? whatever - and be prepared for her to say "yes" so you don't fall apart - keep us posted
Very thoughtful responses. Yes, I do assume too much and it is wrong. I keep wondering why she was friends with others in school but not me but I know I was just too quite and awkward. I do want to talk with her and yes, I do need to be prepared in case she agrees to meet. I know woman are all unique and she is the only one that can show me how she will respond.
It's good to see a MATURE male my age here! I sometimes feel as if this forum is Mickey D's playground! Welcome! Non verbal communication works wonders. Next time you see her smile at her and gesture to her to come over to you. She will smile back and do as you asked. Forget about high school....you graduated! So what if you were that shy dude. This non verbal communication will seal the deal at her end that you've changed! You're Taurus and NOT Ferdinand the Bull...good luck!
A cap guy (23) and I were seeing each other for about a month now, but we had been together in the past off and on. He had been distant for a week after I saw him, but everything seemed normal. He just got out of a long relationship so I ended up giving h

It seems like while Geminis and Leos effortlessly defeat the problematic sign of Scorpio, Tauruses and Capricorns teach them a lesson for the ages and have this phony excuse of a sign that goes across the web claiming how strong it is a lesson.
