Cap men and engagement

Have a question for my Gemini female friend. She's been dating a Cap for 1.5 years. She loves him but he hasn't said it back yet. She really wants to get engaged to him, he says he's not ready yet financially to get married, and is still getting to know her. She's frustrated by this and wants to give him an ultimatum that he should make a choice if he wants to get engaged to her by 2 years (this Fall). She said that she doesn't expect him to give her money and she'll wait/support him while he gets his finances set up (he's a doctorate student). It would just make her feel better to know he's committed to her in the future with an engagement.

She's wondering if she should give him a "push", and why he says he's still getting to know her after 1.5 years. What do you Caps think? Should she wait, or is he just not that into her?

He gave her a valid excuse but yet it's still an excuse. He doesn't want to marry her, pushing won't change that.

It doesn't take that long for a Capricorn to know if they want to marry you and for him to state he's still trying to get to know her doesn't make sense. I think she should ask him straight out if he sees himself with her in the near future as his wife or not. If she feels the need to push him in that direction then the relationship will not work and it's better to let it go now.

As others have said; Don't push and ask him directly.

No ultimatum. It could backfire. A simple discussion should suffice but sounds like she's already done that.

Yes, she's already talked to him about getting engaged. He said he's not ready, still getting to know her and the financial stuff.

They are going on a trip to Europe in a month for 2 weeks. Everything will be shared cost. I think she is going to want him to commit after the trip so..yeah..
