Today was very different. It seemed as if I was under a ton of pressure from Sometimes I become very responsive to external conditions. Meaning I become overly sensitive to nearly to comments made about myself or anyone else. I find this strange because my attitude towards things that are not directly effective is usually nonchalant -- I have a "live-and-let-live" way I thinking because if I can't do anything about a certain situation, why should I worry about it? Now, it seems like I can feel the pain and insecurities of others. At this point, my own insecurities are exposed.
This type of mood has occurred more then just today -- it's like a huge mood string that lingers for a few days then I am back to my normal self ... isn't that odd—? it doesn't happen regularly, but when it does ... I experience a wave of emotions I'm just not use to. They completely flood my mind!!!
I have notices that I tend to be more emotional then other female Capricorns I know. The six that I know (even the ones close to my age) seem so strong and able to endure many things without "emotional" complications. Yes, I can be unemotional too but I get to my breaking points quicker than the do when I experiencing these type of moods. They so tough and able to endure nearly anything. Unfortunately, I have my breaking points ... maybe that's where the mood swings come from —? I'm Capricorn too, but I'm not as "hard as nails" as the others are. If I was, I wouldn't have to vent like this **sobs** Hopefully this mood passes in 24 hours ... being affected by your emotions causes vulnerability and that's just not a good state to be in 😢
Sorry, I just had to get that out of me.
I know this was pointless but I just didn't feel like talking to everyone about it because they wouldn't understand ... so that's why I'm typing 🙂
Can I be the only Capricorn who goes through this type of mood swing——
Cappysweetie... i'm a cap/sagittarius cusp too. I'm not sure if it's that or my pisces moon, perhaps a combo, that makes me overly emotional, but ya... i too am heavily influenced and affected by my feelings. most of the time i can control it, other times it gets the best or worst of me, but i thought you might find this little blurb about us cuspies interesting. maybe it helps you understand yourself, maybe it doesnt. it's interesting none the less. it actually doesnt say anything about being hyper-emotional, but with the sensory and extrasensory possibilities, i could understand why we might be.
Cusp of Prophecy, December 19-25: Zodiac position - Approximately 26? Sagittarius - 4? Capricorn Seasons - Late Fall/Early Winter (solstice) Elements - Fire/Earth Rulers - Jupiter/Saturn Symbols - The Archer/The Goat Modes - Intuition/Sensation
The Sagittarius-Capricorn cusp can be symbolically likened to the period around sixty-three years of age in the human life and also marks the beginning of winter in the northern hemisphere. During this period most of the land lies fallow, some animals go into hibernation, the winds blow cold, and on the winter solstice, the night is longer and the day shorter than any other time in the year. This is the time at which druids at Stonehenge made astronomical observations and prophecies, and when fortunes were often cast. Indeed the Sagittarius-Capricorn cusp may be said to represent Prophecy.
In human development, at this juncture in life, middle age is drawing to a close and old age is about to begin. The emerging elder must face a time when traditionally his/her usefulness to the material world has lessened. However, the individual's usefulness in the spiritual sense may increase greatly, as a mentor and inspiration to others. The days that comprise this cusp exemplify some of the manifestations of Prophecy (using wisdom to look into the future), where the visionary, intuitive Sagittarius nature combines with the pragmatic, empirical nature of Capricorn.
Sagittarius-Capricorns are influenced by both the planet Jupiter (ruler of fiery Sagittarius) and Saturn (ruler of earthy Capricorn). The energies of these two planets are diametrically opposed: Jupiter stands for expansion, jollity and optimism, Saturn for contraction, seriousness and realism. A kind of push-pull effect is at work in the personalities of the unusual individuals born on this cusp--they may want to have fun, for example (Jupiter) but be too serious to do so (Saturn). Conversely, on another occasion, they may set out to buckle down to the job at hand (Saturn) but be lured by a new horizon (Jupiter). The more successful Sagittarius-Capricorns are able to integrate both these influences in their personalities.
The fiery and earthy natures of Sagittarius-Capricorns speak of highly developed faculties of intuition and sensation, respectively, but do not necessarily point to either a strong mental or a strong emotional orientation. Those born on this cusp are consequently at their best when trusting their hunches and their five senses, particularly sight and hearing. Their articulation and expression of their thoughts and feelings may be more problematical. Ultimately, the development of extrasensory abilities, or even a single sixth sense, is often the most unique and remarkable qualities that those born on the Cusp of Prophecy can offer to the world.
Masters of the art of silences, those born on the Sagittarius-Capricorn cusp have no need for speech to get their point across. It is often hard for them to get what they have to say into writing, or express it over the phone, and they may consequently feel that they have to deliver their messages in person. Whether happy, seductive, threatening or punishing, Sagittarius-Capricorns make their moods known very unambiguously, leaving little if any
I know very little about my cusp, so this info was highly informative. NOW THINGS ARE STARTING TO MAKE SENSE 🙂 OHHHH WHY CAN'T WE JUST BE PURE CAPPIES ... live would be so much easier LOL.
I'm going to read your post again because it's really clear and I want to have a better understanding. This is more accurate than anything I've read about the capricorn personality -- it's nearly 92% accurate! Where did you find this — Are there more sites dealing with cusps?? I only know if three ....
ya it is tough finding any info about cuspies. i read in a book somewhere a while ago about the different weeks of the year and the different traits assigned to the people born in those weeks (ie. the week of the titan, the cusp of prophecy, etc). thats when i found out about the cusps and that ours has that title... so i just googled 'the cusp of prophecy' and found what i posted up there in someone else's blog and it could be the same thing i read ages ago in that book. wish i could remember what book. if i figure it out i'll send you the title. 🙂
Hey fellow cuspies, another cusp here :-) thanks for sharing yours insight on this. It describes things very well. I recently found some more information, here it is:
The Cusp of Prophecy is from December 19-25, so it includes them both. Gary talks about the character of each of the cusps and each of the weeks in terms of the year?s cycle. For instance, he says, "The Cusp of Prophecy can be seen as a beacon of hope, while at the same time representing the ultimate death of things growing in nature. He says that this is the most important turning point in the year, and we now look toward the future. "The expression of positive prophecy asserts our strength to triumph over the powers of darkness." His description is really beautiful, and just what we would say about Solstice.
Gary goes on to talk about the personology of people born on this cusp, and he mentions some annual events at this time of year, some historical events, famous people born on this cusp, and types of relationships to other cusps.
He does the same thing for each of the "weeks" in January, in February, and in March, as well as the other cusps of the winter season. At the end of each quarter, he gives a "personology snapshot" for each day of that quarter. E.g.,
December 23. Visionaries who enjoy using their knowledge and intuition to plan for the future and break new ground. Confident and self-assured, they may also be stubborn and authoritarian due to their commitment to ideals. (lol - thats me!)
December 25. An interest in supernatural things?always striving to reach a higher state of being, they often become restless due to their unusual interests.

Cappysweetie: Oversensitivity— Yes, sometimes. On other days I am not - I just dont care about other people and their comments. I wish I could balance both...
yaline, does this gary person have anything to say about caps born the first week of january—...1/4 to be exact. i'm very sensitive and emotional about certain things. it can be a burden. people don't understand my reactions at times. yes, lately it's been a predominant thing in my life. cappysweetie, you're right about being effected by one's emotions makes one vulnerable, and it's not a good place to be in, but on the bright side, you really get to know yourself, because you let those feelings out and open, otherwise you become a rock. i say, don't be afraid of them, embrace them for your own self learning.
Pato, Gary has a comment for every birthday so also for 1/4. I dont own the book so I searched the internet and found the above comments and extracts from it. I couldnt find any comments on your birthday though 😢 When I am getting oversensitive (which has been the case lately for a period of a year or so - very painful) I am getting very quiet as if I dont have anything to say. I guess is just a lead wall to not let anyone know anything about me so they can not make any comments on what I say or who I am. People start to feel sorry for me which annoys me even more. The only way to get out of this emotional desaster is me - thats what I found out. So right now I am starting to be more social :-)
"Lady Capricorn is truly an empress, born to a high station in life. Where the Leo Woman would be born to rule the masses from her throne, the Capricorn woman is born to wield authority."
Honestly, I rather be the dipomatic ruler ... I'll let the leos, aries, and libras be the authority over everyone 🙂
"Normally attracted to older men partially because they are able to give her what she is looking in life, stability and emotional happiness."
Older men (NOT "SUGAR DADDIES"! lol) offer much wisdom -- I have great admiration for those who have worldly knowledge -- especailly if they can teach me ... I love to be taught 😉 I suppose this is where the attraction comes from, along with other aspects about the man. I was strongly attracted to a 40ish year old pisces man, but he was still wounded from his prvious marriage ...
"Her passions run deep like all her emotions, and so does her impact. Long after transitory affairs have run their courses; this smoldering siren will hold her place in a man's affections seeking her forgiveness and maybe a second chance to make it right."
Yes, most people don't realize this ... not at all! Cappies have very deep emotions -- we are 'Sea-goats' after all. We are just as emotional as the water signs but since our emotions are rules by Saturn it makes expression really difficult.
Haha, if the last part of that statement is true (about OUR impact) ... UH OH! Oops 🙂
"She wants someone who will cherish and understand her, who will not rob her of her self-sufficiency or ask her to relinquish control of her life and goals."
Exactly, this all we want ... darn it 😢

No matter the sign what if we are just trying to be happy and for me I just believe that you can not help who you fall in love with.. It seems that the availability for truthful and romantic people are just on a shortage. Wouldn't you say it just depends
