To the op, I'm doing the same... easing myself into vegan and possibly even raw. We'll see. Go day by day with what excites you. Altering your diet is a process just like any other new habit.- We're such animals.
Hi everyone - better clean up your act as much as possible, or what you started will end up cutting you deep.
- must is a little too definitive. i like when women change it up, but are most comfortable in their own skin. a natural looking application of makeup most days, but something fun and bold every once in a while. nothing caked on though. i layer clothing in the winter, not makeup everyday.
i don't identify with myself as decorative, but it certainly is fun to dabble sometimes. I once said to a very lovely leo lady that I used to know, "you always look so fantastic and well put together." because she did... accessories, make-up, outfit ...she rocked it. this is when i was a lot younger and carried myself more conservatively. but what she said to me honestly changed me a little bit. she said, "thank you, my dear. i do it because Why Not? I can and it's fun." simple as that. you can take that mentality into almost any look, i think. - -_-
they listen to dub-step, temple-step, break-beat, who the -... knows what. and it's always blasting out of a gigantic speaker.
i have to beat them to the airways with my coltrane/ellington, classical romantic piano and oldies whenever i can... through my smooth surround sound system. i listen to loud electronic music too, but my mars aqua feels so much better with that lobby music.
*chuckles* awe yeah - ahhh cap men... you guys are rad.

the bf and i talk often enough about starting a family in a few years. i'm thinking we need to talk about a more private and autonomous living situation first.
everyone is really attached to the house we're in now. both our families say they want to buy it if it's up for grabs. it is a pretty dreamy mountain house, but i can give it up to move forward in life. if the hippies want it... let 'em treetrunk it up. let's go build our own. - i admit that was partly the half bottle of wine talking, but in vino veritas!
i've already had a talk with the bf and we're both going to put our foot down on a few matters.
i can definitely compromise on the interior decor. it is my house and now theirs too. i'd say a majority of the place is styled to my taste anyways. but the futons sprawled all over the property? lol are you effin kidding me? when they suggested it, i think i was so stunned that i was guffaw silenced. i feel like i'm dealing with a couple kids now.
i keep thinking of how fortunate i was in the past either living solo or having one immaculately clean roommate with a very neutral/traditional sense of home decor. my bf is actually a pretty clean and respectful guy... typical love of darker, romantic colors... espresso, burgundy, black. the girl (virgo) is pretty clean, but cluttery and whimsical/erratic style. a lot of thrifty things. none of it really matches. her bf, my bf's bff (pisces), is a pretty earthy guy. claims he's into feng shui, but when he decorates a room, half the space gets eaten up with the way he positions things. ???? maybe that's what feng shui is all about. *shrugs*
i'm not saying i know what i'm doing when it comes to decorating, but i'm a less is more type. keep it clean, sensibly organized, everything put away in it's place, in pleasant complimentary colors that follow some sort of a scheme ... good enough for me! - oh and SHUT THE treetrunk UP WITH THE LOUD SINGING OVER A PERFECTLY GOOD SONG THATS treetrunkING PERFECT WITHOUT YOUR HORRIFIC ADDED SOUNDTRACK!

- my bf's best friend and gf who live with us are both hippies. it's not fair for me to cookiemonster out loud so thank god for the dg, but i can't stand how trashy the place has become with the influx of crap...

we have about 100 treetrunking futons now ...all trash picked. i'm exaggerating but it's really probably about 20 futons. wtf are we doing with 20 goddamn futons.
let me tell you what was suggested... throwing a few on the roof and throwing some on the gigantic rocks surrounding the property. just perfect. the place will look like a landfill in no time. they can bring all their cracked out friends to hang out all night long and linger all through the weekend, thizzed out in my treetrunking house.
such a shame because it's a beautiful house too. and it's starting to look like a hoarders nest. - we generally live up to our resumes.
MysteriousPresence, my gem bf says the same about me. He uses the word "paranoid" more than pessimistic though. Probably just to my face, lol.
And he considers me a bit controlling. It's a hard instinct to just get rid of, cuz I have no desire to be controlling of anyone else. Least of all my bf. I always admire his patience with me when i forget myself. Nothing softens me up as quick. - can't really say i was ever accustomed to any particular size. the men in my past were all adequate. the smallest of which who seemed most insecure of his size actually had a great size imo. i've never been with a guy that had an overinflated perception of his junk though.
it's always amazing to me, but at the same time makes perfect sense, how much one guy can be unaware of how he compares to other dudes when it comes to this.
if i needed to say something to a guy that was bragging too much, i'd prob say something to the above affect... "i guess it makes sense that you don't have a frame of reference"
