I'm both. Depends on the mood and situation as well as where I'm at and the people I'm with.

Say, standing in line, I'll usually talk to whoever is around me, depending on the vibes I get from those people. And out and about like the local watering hole, if I see someone sitting by theirself, I can't stand that. I will sometimes approach them and introduce myself and introduce them to people. Sometimes not. I don't know why I feel its my job to make sure people are having a good time. I mean, yeah, if they are at a party at my house, but why would I do that out in public??

Othertimes, I just keep to myself.

Most people don't know what it means to be introverted or extroverted. They assume outgoing bubbly people are extroverts and shy reserved people are introverts which is not true.
Introverts need more alone time to recharge but it doesn't mean these people can't be extremely social.

I agree.

Introverts seek time alone because they need it to recharge. People literally wears them down and they get exhausted from socializing.

Extroverts are quite the opposite. Being alone wears them down and they seek people to talk to and readily participate in social activities because that's what recharges their "batteries".

While being an introvert can affect your sociability, it doesn't nullify it. I'm an introvert and I used to be an inept when socializing. I literally didn't give a flying fuck about people in general. That rubbed some people the wrong way obviously and they did everything to get my attention. I didn't make any friends but that was enough for me to feel appreciation for people. Now I have no problems with that but I still appreciate it being left alone to think. I have always enjoyed my own company. Also there's quite a lot of shy people are actually extroverts, but they are fearful of rejection. A lot of social butterflies are actually introverts, too.

Great points all round!

For me, it's all about the external stimuli — the environment, the situation, the people, the vibes??_ Certain combinations will bring me out of my shell, while others will enforce the opposite effect.

Needing external stimuli is exactly what defines an introvert. Extrovert people's stimuli comes from within.
