Do Cappy Men Just Want Maids and Cooks?

Serious question.

Over and over, I keep reading on various websites that a Cappy man is old-fashioned and wants a
woman to keep his house and is a good cook. This is emphasized to the nth degree and is usually
listed first and foremost.

As a Cap woman (who is, of course, incredibly ambitious) this gives me pause. If I should wind
up with a Cap man, will there be some power struggle as he attempts to keep me as a housework
slave? Cuz he will LOSE, LOL!

Just how important is this to a Cap man? Because, to be honest, while I'm a gourmet cook I am
NOT the best housekeeper in the world. I grew up with maids (and had them in my adult life as
well), and frankly I have better things to do with my time (like research, write, and cook!)
than the drudgery of housework.

So, what say ye Cappy males? Is this stuff exaggerated or are you really like that?

No.
Repititiously looking into the subject, are you looking to figure somebody out, or waiting to hear what you want?

Trying to figger out someone.

He is Russian, so that culture -- as opposed to his being a Cap -- may explain his "old-fashioned" attitude. Or
perhaps it's a combo of the two.

But (as already stated), it is consistently coming up as a Cap male trait. Unfortunately, all the Cap males I know
(all 2 of 'em, LOL!) are assholes (my dad is Exhibit A, and a narcisstic, controlling "friend" is Exhibit B) so
aren't exactly good lab specimens.

Time to get back to Rammstein's Mutter (best industrial metal album EVER!), so I'm signing off now. Thanks for your
answer. Have a great night!

There it is. Russia = Lots of women, very few men (even fewer who make it past 40) and a very important place for mom in their lives. There is this idea that women can be replaced by a more willing or prettier specimen because, in Russia, that is exactly the case.
The Russian girls that I spoke to had boyfriends who tended to treat them like their own personal maid.

Me personally, I wouldn't want a girl that would position her in the whole housewife role. I'd rather have her being an independent woman that is there when we need eachother.
That however, might be down to Dutch culture. Not being a cap.

I've spoiled my Cap with regard to cooking and cleaning. I'm a career woman to be sure but I like taking care of the people I love so my guy benefits from that side of my personality. However, he reciprocates in turn and loves to cook for me and when I'm at his place it looks like a showroom everything is so neat and in place with a lot of special touches just for my pleasure. He's an alpha male (as are most Cap men) and I am very girly so I get off on the sometimes chauvanistic side of my man. It works for us.

so your answer is NO, they don't want a maid or a cook. They want a loving and understanding wife.

Qouted for Truth.

I think they don't really trust women who gush sugary words of love (they appreciate that more when it's said once in a while...esp when the woman is able to recognize when he is down & needs a little "pick me up" words).

Caps are do-ers. They show their care by doing something , esp something practical (like fixing your garage door or something) for the person that they love. So I guess they expect their woman to do the same. Practical things like cooking & some basic cleaning gets their goat-fish (pun intended) simply because it's the equivalent of what they'd do for you when they care about you ( eg, fix things, make arrangements, introduce contacts, etc).

Unfortunately, some women equate that with Caps just wanting a maid or a cook. Conversely, Caps could argue that many women just want a chauffeur or a walking wallet or a handyman.

No caps would rather you bring home some bacon than have supper on the table. My bro in law is s cap and he doesn't care if the house looks like an episode from the hoarders. He LOVES to cook. On his off days he cooks and enjoys making plates for everyone and watch them take the first bite like he is hosting a PBS cooking show. Married to my aqua sister.

sounds like Sarah Palin type of aqua with double virgo husband with cancer mars. I watched the documentary on Sarah Palin on Netflix...

and oh boy!!! my husband saw that i watched it on HIS netflix channel and said, "hon...wtf!!!! why is this Sarah Palin show on my channel?" 😆 LOL!

omg... i was like, OMG! and lol'ed. I forgot to log off and go on my channels. He shakes his head. 😆

so anyway, Sarah Palin looks like the type that has her husband do all the cooking and stay home with the kids. Kind of like how my sister and husband work out. As Sarah Palin goes off into the world, or hunt, ect. Now i heard they do things together, and take care of their children (the both have a baby with disability so they do alot to take care of eachother as a family)
