help needed with capricorn man

I started dating a Capricorn three months ago, and everything has been going really well...except that I don't know where I stand with him. He seems to be cautiously mulling over the prospect of a relationship. He has told me I could "destroy" him, and also said, "don't trust me until I trust you." What does that even mean?
Is this typical for a Capricorn?
I know he is into me - how can I put him at ease?

CMGS is absolutely right alma6, however the only thing i don't like that your Cappy said is "don't trust me until I trust you." I would have gotten him to clarify what that means. Are you 2 in a commited relationship or is he still feeling the waters out? In order for any relationship to work, their has to be trust. I understand Capricorns don't trust their own hearts right away, and they need time to explore a relationship before committing 100% , but that doesn't mean you should accept anything less. Keep your eyes and your heart open ... and like CMGS said ... listen to him.

Thanks for the advice! It can be bewildering to figure out a Capricorn, but I definitely feel it is worth the effort.
To clarify, we are seeing each other exclusively. We haven't had the all-encompassing relationship "talk" yet, but I know he isn't seeing anyone else, and I'm not either.
We dated for about 2 months five years ago, and it was intense, but we fought a lot, and I was dating other people, which I know drove him nuts. In a drunken moment, through tears, I told him I was falling in love with him. He immediately told me that I deserved an Academy award for my performance, and that if I didn't stop crying I had to leave. So I did, and that was the end of it.
He emailed me several times in the ensuing years, and now we are dating again. We both have changed a lot. I've calmed down, and have learned to take responsibility for my emotions. He seems to be more trusting and more willing to open up.
I'm just wondering if there is anything specific he needs in order to open up. I've restrained myself from emotional outbursts, because I know that he distrusts them. What is a non-threatening way to express affection to a Capricorn?

I think don't trust my untill I trust you means exactly how its wrote.... Untill he trusts you, you are not save, it could mean anything. Remember caps don't look for relationships they find caps. If hes not talking to anyone else now it doesn't mean that he wont it just means that he hasn't yet.. Caps are not players but they are secretive. My cap was talking to his ex for 10 months untill i broke up with him over it. Gave him a choice. Me or her? It took him 2 f,in months to choose me let me tell you how depressing that was..... Its not like he was just talking to her, he was deleting here number off his phone cause I had previously told him that I didn't like it. He wouls secretly meet up with her and tell me after. Shit like that. Its been 3 and a half years now and I'm still beating off the other woman to stay away from him cause he has such a low self esteem he doesn't think that these girls could have an interst in him till they phone him bitching cause they saw me with him or something stupid. He says he doesn't like ppl to talk so they dont need to know his personal life. Thats code for if I meet someone else I want to know you are better then them before I tell them I have a girlfriend.

Maybe I don't know. I have been playing games and fighting for my cap to stay with me. Im finally coming to the conclusion that I can't. He has to.

So in other words let him come to you that way you know that he really wants you. He is not just with you cause you show him affection. And if he comes to you then you wont have to spend the rest of your time with him wondering if he really wants you or is it cause you do things for him and he benefits from you being around....

Honey they can take a very long time to be at ease. They don't trust very well and that's part of an insecurity issue Capricorn men have. They are great in some cases but suck in other. They can be extremely confusing. You must have abundance of patience to tolerate a Cappy man .They can be the best lovers because they are very affectionate and will do whatever they need to do sexually to please a woman. They are cold and stubborn, plus they don't show too much emotion. You must know the traits of a Cappy to understand him. They are not verbal people at all so pay attentions to there actions. Beware they can become distant as time for no apparent reason. Don't try to rush them, let them maintain the pace of the relationship because they will pull away. They also need space from time to time.

Also can mean don't fall in love with him until he atleast trust you and that can be a long awful long time.
