What does 1st, 2nd, 3rd decan mean?
Yeah, how does one determine what decan they were born in?
I found this:
If you were born in the 1st Decan of any Sun sign, you'll have your Sun signs traits in full force, being the most intense, they're known to be the extremists.
If you were born in the 2nd Decan, your Sun sign is less extreme, more toned down, in general these people tend to be the more balanced individuals.
If your birthday fall into the last ten days of your Sun sign, the 3rd Decan, your attributes will be the mildest, unique and unpredictable. The 3rd Decan's being so close to the Cusp can give them subtle traits resembling those of the next Sun sign.

hmmm...im 3rd decan aqua, but I dont have any piscean traits. Im 100% aquarian, even with my cancer moon. My birthday falls on the first day of the third decan so I think I should've been placed in 2nd decan.

How do you determine what decan you're in?
I'm Jan. 4th - I'm guessing you're referring to me Capgirl - I'm sorry if it seems that I post and poof - my job takes advantage of my natural workaholicism - on average I work about 6 days a week (only cause I'm not salary based and already very expensive for them esp. since I recently acquired this promotion 😛) Please feel free to private message me though - I try to keep up w/ replying to posts - I'm 2nd decan of Capricorn though if that's the definition of it - I'm very loved by others and quite charming as well (my rising sign is Libra which is one of their most known traits) - Capital - in order to find your decan is as simple as knowing when your sign is on the calendar (between this and that date) and the first 10 days of that sign (if you fall under those days) you would be in the first decan - if you fall under the 11th to 20th day then you are a part of the 2nd decan - if you fall under the 21st to 30 day of that sign then you are part of the 3rd decan (then they go into if you're born in the within the first ten minutes of the last day of the last decan then you would fall under the next decan or something like that - kinda like the rules of a sign falling under a cusp) - Lady_M - I've heard of Aquarians and Caps getting along rather well - I have a couple as friends (a guy in the national guard and in school as well as a mother of a cap) @ work - one of them is actually dating the other aquarians daugther whom is a cap - (she's into a astrology too - always talking about how her gemini husbands a nut but she loves him nonetheless - must be the whole split personality she explains he seems to carry - lol - isn't that ironic 😛) Hopefully this helps though! 🙂
