Let the Passive-Aggressive Games begin!

Looks like its time for the passive-aggressive games....

Still fustrated with my work situation. So, because they won't listen to my 15 years experience and because I have been having a difficult time keeping my mouth shut, I believe I will resort to letting them go about their ill-thought-through decisions and hang themselves. I bring up the "what ifs" and "when this happens" questions and they seem to think I am either 1) argumentative, 2) a cloud on their parade, 3) a pain in the ass or 4) all the above. Therefore, I resolve to only do what I'm required to do. I will not offer any more opinions (even when asked) or suggestions. I will get instructions I need in writing to back myself up. I will no longer go above and beyond the job title assigned to me. I will become complacent.

How long do you think it'll last? hahaha! 🙂

Seriously, though, I think I really will resort to the good ole cappy passive aggressiveness....Thee that shall proceed to hang thou selves!

I should add, I'm not a know it all, but I've been through some situations at previous places they are trying to plan for. So my opinion is valid. They just don't want to make the changes they need to make. So, they can learn the hard way.

It occurs to me that were I in such a position, I might see if I could befriend someone in some level of management above the people making the stupid decisions (assuming everyone isn't clueless) and make a point to provide them with regular updates on what is being discussed, the decisions made, my (your) suggestions that are routinely ignored, etc., so that when everything comes crashing down, as it inevitably does in such situations, you are well positioned to be promoted upon the screw-ups' failure and termination. But I'm a strategist... 😉

I think I'll just focus on my job and do what I'm required to do and do it well and just keep my mouth shut. It's almost impossible to keep my opinions to myself, so I guess I'll have a sore lip for a while since I'll be biting it. lol!

You are not alone. I have been biting my tongue in meetings for almost 8 months now. I just keep biting and going home to send out resumes.

I FIND THAT WRONG DECISIONS ARE MADE AND PUT INTO PRATICE THE PEOPLE WHO DID THIS ARE UNWILLING TO ADMIT THEY ARE WRONG SO DOWN THE ROAD THEY GO LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BLAME THE DECISIONS ON. A SCAPE GOTE JUST DON'T LET THAT GOAT WARNING WHEN THEY COME TO YOU AND TRY TO GET A OPIN ON THINGS AND INCLUDE YOU IN THERE PROCESS AVOID IT AT ALL COST. AT THIS POINT THEY DON'T WANT HELP THAY ARE MAKEING YOU THE TARGET. YOUR NOT SAFE UNLES THEY CAN BLAME IT ON BUSH.
