Get over yourself? Merely doing the same shit for 20 years doesn't give you "real world" experience. It just means you were too intellectually lazy to get out of your comfort zone for 20 years. There are folks who can do things in 5 minutes that take some folks days. Simple as that. I don't think she has to prove anything to you. The fact that she is your senior makes all the difference in the world.

Ur post is so rude lol

its natural to feel someway about a change. Not only the change of a new boss, but also someone much younger. That takes a bit of adjustment even for the most flexible person and thats normal.
There are people that can do things in less time or better and it seems as if she has yet to see why shes there in that position. Regardless of how its worded or comes across its a normal feeling. Ive seen with my two eyes people not react well to these type of adjustments, and I think that can be a bit wrong, but its not wrong in what you feel.

I am not intellectually lazy. I have worked through the ranks and have been in a directorship role for many years. I have worked and learned my buns off to get where I am. I have the education and expertise in ALL aspects of my career, even in areas that are not my responsibility (nor my department's). I am VERY well rounded in my field and am now reporting to someone who has been limited into just one scope of our field.

I am more than efficient with my time and I can get things done expediently, effectively and correctly.

I am willing to give her a chance!! Never said I wasn't. Yes she is my senior and I do respect that.

I don't intend to come across as arrogant, if I did. Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this. Yes they did and yes, it helps.
