What happened?

I haven't heard from this Cap guy is a little over a week, I texted him a Happy Thanksgiving and haven't heard a word back from him. I refuse to text him again because, who ignores a Thanksgiving text?

The last I saw him was two Friday's ago, when I went over to his house and had wine and talked and since then I haven't heard from him. I recently wrote this about him:

I can't read this guy that I have been hanging out with. I have known him since Freshman year in college (we've been out of school for five years). In college, we made out a couple times, never had sex. I then had a boyfriend throughout college and until about 2 years ago.

Since college,I haven't seen him until about a month ago. We randomly bumped into each other on the train in a totally different city than where we originally met. Turns out he now lives down the street from me. We started talking on the train, and I invited him up to my apt for a chickentail and we talked all night and then made out. Since then, we have been hanging out. Not everyday because I'm always working but whenever I'm free and he is free, we get together.

Since our inital meeting, we went to the movies, he brought food and I cooked. I've spent the night at house (no sex) but we made out. I told him that I liked him and asked him if he liked me and he said yes. But I can't quite tell. I was just at his house the other day, we got drunk and I spent the night but the whole time he didn't touch me.

We hung out yesterday, I brought a pizza, and we chilled, watched TV for hours. We were very touchy feely, like we played wrestled, we tickled each other, he picked my nose. But we didn't kiss again! I don't know if he likes me or just sees me as a friend who is just around.He know I'm not having sex until I'm married.

Thoughts?

Give it time. It's only been a month that yall have been hanging out. He likes you, don't know how much yet. Just enjoy hanging out with him, build the friendship. Caps are slow and cautious.

Well, you don't want to have sex right? That is why is isn't touching or kissing you as much as you would like. He's no fool 🙂 Just good friends is what I think, he is probably out meeting someone who will give him some, you know!

Oh, did he go somewhere for the holidays? He's probably just been busy. We get busy and forget to contact people. When you sent the Thanksgiving text, maybe he was helping with dinner, eating, in the middle of a football game, talking to dad/bro/sis/mom, taking a nap....get my drift? He probably just didn't get around to texting you back and then forgot. This happens to me all the time. If I don't respond right then, I forget to do it.

Regardless, like I said, it's only been a month, don't push, don't get upset, let it ride. If you don't hear from him in a few days, send him another text saying "how is your week going" or something benign like that. Don't mention he didn't respond. Just be friendly. If you don't hear from him after that, don't text him again.

Basically, don't worry. Best case scenario: now the big holiday weekend is over and Monday's work is caught up, maybe he'll get back to you. Worst case scenario: ehhh, you've only wasted a month, so no big emotional investment if it doesn't work out.

Well I tend to believe that if someone REALLY likes you, they remember to answer the text, maybe not right away, but surely somewhere they find the time to answer. Don't text him again... pfffft
