Why are Capricorns so cold with ex's?

Me and my Capricorn ex girlfriend broke mutually after about 2 years because we just felt it wasn't going anywhere special. However I still really wanted us to remain friends afterwards because we have many common interests/hobbies. She agreed with me at first then a few days later, just ignored me & acted like I never existed. She got rid of all our photos on Facebook and burnt my letters to her.

do cappys generally end all ties with exs?

My sun is Libra but my Mars is Capricorn (applicable because planet of action, how one approaches situations.) I cut ties w/ ex's for severeal reasons.. Sometimes people have lingering emotions and even a little bit is never fair to the future new person in your life. Also Venus plays a role, mine is Scorp so obvious treetrunk you to whoever it didnt work out w in the past. These are not Lib traits, I know lots of Libs who are not like this. It may apply to Cap Suns.

It's because she's hurt, angry, or has turned all the emotions off. She's shutting you out so she can get over you and she's trying to move on. Why wouldn't she delete all your pictures on Facebook? I mean you can't start dating someone else and have pictures of an ex on your account.

It takes time to be able to be friends with an ex. Maybe a year or so.

I'd guess her Venus Scorp may never want to friends. I know a Cap Sun lady who is friends w several of her ex's. *shrugs*

Very true! I personally just started to try and be friends with an ex Cancer bf and that took a few years because I was not interested in being friends. But I am ok with this now since it has been years since the relationship and there is no way that I would ever go back but I keep him at a distance. I will never allow him to get that close to me again, I don't answer all of his messages either so you may not ever have a close friendship but when she is feeling ok and have moved on she may allow herself to be friends with you from a distance. Some of us feel what's the point, once it's over it's over.

When it's over, it's over.
Keeping contact with an ex would be suspect enough, so Cap is taking a risk.
Reminders of the failed relationship need to go.

We don't dwell on the past like Cancers, keeping them fondly in our memories. We learn from it and move on.

I agree with everything every poster has said. If you love someone and they dump you, treetrunk that treetrunk them, move on. If you dump them move on because it's cruel to keep dragging them along by a string.

And if it was mutual move on just for the sake of getting on with your lives.

Cap sun/moon. Pisces venus.. I always cut ties with any exes. I do not remain friends with exes, as it's impossible to only remain friends with someone you love. Watching them talk/date other people while you're "friends" fuck that.. I always cuss my exes out, because they've all led me on/lied to me. I make sure they know how shitty they are, then stop talking to them. Everyone of them say they try to end things in a civil way, but you don't end things in a 'civil' way with someone you claimed to love. Fuck that, and fuck them.

But once you don't love them anymore, that stuff doesn't matter. My best guy friend was my first love 30 years ago. He broke my heart in so many ways. There is no sexual tension, just friendship. We know we're not compatible as a couple, but we are very compatible as friends. We ask each other advice on relationships to get an honest, objective male/female opinion. It did take us 20 years to get to this point, though.

My ex was Capricorn like me and it was mutual breakup, even though he pretty much initiated it.
The first time I physically saw him since then, I just gave him a look like "yes?"
And the second time I saw him at a conference, he really tried to act like we were long lost friends that needed to catch up. LOL.
That was hilarious to see, mainly because he knew the wtf-side-eye I was giving him afterwards might give off to people nearby that we dated.

And he ran into me again that day, but I kept it focused on his work and commending him for his work.
I can do that; focus on some type of mutual work.
But there is no way in HELL I will be cool *on a personal level* with someone who showed they didn't value me any longer.
That to me makes absolutely no sense.
Why you should stick around or be friends with someone once you know they don't see you on their level??
And especially if you know it's done for good?

So yeah, in terms of a friendship, that's a nah. I cut exes off completely.
ESPECIALLY if they initiated the breakup.

If they initiate the breakup I can cut off someone completely. But it's mostly what SureShotCap said, if we stay friends I will not linger in the hopes of getting back together. I move on and might even be dating someone within a few months. And as a friend you will hear about it. Not to be mean or make you jealous but how you deal with it is your problem. It won't even occur to me it might be hurting you.
But I won't be calling you twice a day or wishing you a good night every day. Hell, even with friends it might take me a while to get back to you if you send me a message.
