Why is she so mean to me?!!?!?

Okay I'am 18 and I still live at home with my parents. Ever since I was a kid my mother has always been nothing but mean to me. She calls me fat, calls me a pig (and Im not even fat!!!), a slob, a stupid b****,doesnt support me in anything, doesnt think Im going to go to college. I have never said I wasnt!!!! Ive been planing to go for years! I just dont understand why she has been so cruel to me my whole life.

Please tell me why she is like this?!!?!?!? She is a capricorn. Jan 7 is her bday.

your mom may have some other issues u dont know about..it may be hard but try to ignore the negative,and focus on the positive..go to college,do your best she will be proud of you in the end...i have a cappie friend/female who although doesnt criticize,she is doom and gloom about things when something is going wrong,but other than that she is very supportive of her children...good luck and go and hug and kiss your mother and tell her you love her,,,you will be suprised she may just need that,,cappie crave positive attention but dont know how to ask,per my experience

That's my sons mother's birthday ... she abused him severely, both physically and emotionally, and then abandoned him when he was 3 years old. He had a sister 3 years older than him (she was 6 when mother left) .. nobody provided her help and at 29 years old, her own children have been taken away from her because she abused them as she was taught to do during her Formative Years.


My suggestion to you would be to seek therapy immediately .... if you just wallow in the pain and torment of it without healing, you could have a lasting psychological effect, which could put you at a greater risk of becoming the victimizer of your own children in adulthood.

Pisces can't be subjected to these kinds of conditions .. we're too impressionable ... please seek therapy ASAP.

I dont think I need therpy, I think she is the one who needs it. She's even mean to my father...who pays for everything! She has a job but doesnt make anything close to what he makes and just asks for check from him. He says yes to everything just so she'll shut up. Her life is not stressful what so ever.

I dont think I.ll have problems when Im older. I just will have nothing to do with her when I move out.

We can fix or change another person .. we can only heal ourselves. And the key to personal growth/healing is in recognizing this.

I'd be willing to wager that your mother was treated the same way as a child in which she didn't seek help ... back then, we weren't progressed enough in our psychological recognition of behavorial patterns to even know that what is taught to us in the Formative Years is such a factor in our developmental subconscious reactions.

Tribal .. I didn't say that with intentions of projecting onto you that you are fucked up and need help because you're psycho in some way and it's your fault .... for that's the impression I get from you saying you don't need therapy, while countering by saying she does.

I said that to you because it is fact .. when people are subjected to abuse during those years, it is instilled within our psyches, and we all need assistance, and should welcome assistance in becoming better people who don't suffer.

Im glad to know that Im not crazy and that she is the one in the wrong. Idk what to do really. I think Im going to go with SimplyMe. I liked what you had to say. And I agree with P-angel that I can only help myself and she can only help herself.

Jan 7, this sounds like a second decan capricorn we are dealing. I think she has some other problems going on in her life and she is taking them out of you.

The best thing you can do is get away from her, going to college is a great start. Most caps I know born during this week can be terrible.

I need to think more about this situation. I will add more later, okay 🙂

Jackdoniel, thanks for that advice and the advive from simplyme. I will go with that. Ive just come to the conclusion that once I move out. I will never see her again. and I dont care to make the relationship with her work.
