Neptune in the 3rd - God help my communication skills

Neptune in the Third House and Communication Challenges

Neptune in the third house can cause confusion, vagueness, and difficulty expressing details clearly. This placement may lead to misunderstandings despite strong speaking abilities. Addressing this involves conscious effort to clarify thoughts and improve communication skills, which can enhance your interactions and reduce frustration.

I'm vague all the time. Everything is "that thing" or I'll be describing a situation at work to my supervisor and he'll be like "can you be more specific".

he's a triple Libra and also a good friend of mine. he laughs whenever I'm up in arms describing something in frustration and then he'll laugh and be like "that was really vague". then since I'm already worked up I'll be like "it's not that hard to understand" and get huffy, and he'll laugh again and repeat what I said and I'll laugh too at that point but still be frustrated and re-explain it.

I'm great at speeches and whatnot, and I can speak on a whim. but sometimes I swear, I leave shit out or I'm vague af. it's an annoying placement. it's in exact conjunction with Uranus too.

the thrill of my third house LOL.

does anyone else have this placement?

on top of that my south node and Vertex are in Gemini. sigh. will I ever be a great communicator as karma predicted? wasn't my south node supposed to bring me great communication skills? DOESNT MY VERTEX WANT TO SHINE? will I ever stop calling everything "that thing" or leaving details/specifics out of important stories? the world may never know. *dramatic exit*

I have it, I think it's also conjunct with Uranus in Cap.

Well... I know what you mean : D Even now writing this, I don't know where to start from or how to keep the post short and precise. I didn't know it comes from Neptune in 3rd, but now when I think of it...

Communication is the aspect in my life I'm most self-conscious about. That's why I've been "training" myself for 3 years now how to communicate effectively. I even feel like I use too many terms to replace "this thing" now, overcomplicating my sentences. But I still skip details and I'm still vague, although less than before...
Yesterday I wanted to explain something to my friend, but when I started, I was immediately lost, I didn't know where I'm going. I kept hearing my voice and words, but it wasn't me to lead/control them anymore.

What helps me is writing down my thoughts and having prolonged conversations with people. Where I have all the time in the world to explain what I want to explain, assessing the information and extracting important moments. In this way I'm kind of prepared for situations, in which I have to explain something fast...

Aleister Crowley paints a particularly grim picture of this placement: https://astrolibrary.org/ebooks/crowley-29.html#booktop

Don't forget that your own placements can either enhance the powers of your Neptune or leave you daydreaming and unable to keep your words clear or concise.

On the bright side, hordes of celebrities have this placement: Jay-Z, Kurt Cobain, Nick Drake, Jack Nicholson, Joaquin Phoenix,, Meryl Streep, the Dalai Lama, Al Pacino, Friedrich Nietzsche, Mark Twain (sketchy birth time - probably not), Charles Dickens and Stephen King to name a few. So when positively expressed, this can make one artistic (albeit vague at times like Cobain in his lyrics), an accomplished actor (taking on other personalities and manners of speech), a philosopher, an author or even a spiritual teacher. Of course, other placements have contributed to these celebrities' success as well.

On the dark side, George W. Bush had this placement, and we all know of his propensity to put his foot in his mouth. Al Gore also has it opposed to his Sun.

Richard Branson also has it, so this isn't a useless placement for someone who is uninterested in acting, music, philosophy, religion or writing either. Tiger Woods also has it - so that's two people in business and sport respectively who haven't allowed their Neptunian minds to hinder their success.

If you know him, Stephen Fry is also believed to have it, and he is a very eloquent speaker.

Take away point: this placement can be overcome if it has had a negative impact on you so far. 🙂

Also, there's always a feeling like I don't belong. I'm too different, people can't see my point of view. I feel like an alien sometimes.
