What is Saturn Retrograde

so I have a question . I have my Saturn which is in the sign of Aries in retrograde .. so I'm confused what does Saturn retrograde even mean ? and what does Saturn in Aries mean .. does this affect my mars in someway because mars is the ruler of Aries and my Saturn which is retrograde is in Aries PS my moon mars Venus Neptune and mercury all are in the sign of cap and as we know Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn so does this Saturn in retrograde affects every one of these personal planets ... if so how and what does Saturn in retrograde even mean.
please guys help me figure this out I'll owe u one ... please .. please answer as soon as possible.
