Note: My friend here is not the individual in my dream, it is another person.

I was standing on a granite cliff, above me was blue sky and white fluffy clouds, below me a sea of green; trees. I am very high up so high that I can not see the difference between the trees, but I know that they are trees. I look around, stare around. I am dressed in long black flowing robes.
Behind me, I hear a voice that I know. "Go ahead, jump," she added the nickname she calls me occasionally. "You know you need to jump." I turn around and see her standing about 10 feet away, I open my mouth to protest but nothing came out.
She spread her arms out wide and spoke "You need to trust more." I turn around and look out over the edge. "Go ahead, jump." The last word echos in my head. Jump, Jump, Jump. I breathe in and out, close my eyes and leap. When I reopen my eyes and look around, I release that the ground isn't getting close, but is moving underneath me. I am flying.
Sounds more about you trusting your friend. You were stuck in a situation where to you seemed dangerous, but your friend was telling you it is alright. Since you listened to your friend all went well, but I think that your dream may be questioning how much you trust your friend with your decisions you make with in life. Or that old phrase, "would you jump off a bridge if your friends told you to."
