I had a dream that I was in this house...it's a house i've been in before. A recurring house I guess. I was sleeping on this chair and there are people in and out. Somebody knocks at the door. It's my birthday. Balloons and flowers are being pushed through the door, a cake, too.

The person carrying all of this is my ex - a very intense relationship we had, he really rocked me in both good and bad ways - I haven't seen him since we broke up. Not in dreams, not in real life. In my dream I know this. I look at him and ask him what he's doing here. He said, "it's your birthday, I'm just here for your birthday, don't worry about it and have a nice time" We start talking about what we've been up to. He's going to buy a new house.

My house. My recurring dream house. In the dream, I can't seem to remember if I'd lived in the house or not. I think I remember living in the house, but I cannot remember for how long. I also know I never signed a lease. This information is clear to me (as clear as it is unclear if that makes any sense). He looks me dead in the eye and says "what does it matter if you lived in the house I am going to buy? It doesn't mean ANYTHING."

Details become more diluted here. I'm trying to remember the house and so am back in it again. I loved that house so much, I feel very sad he is buying it and that I will never have a chance to live in it again. Or at all. It's still not clear one way or another.

Dreams are only about ourself you have unfinnished business, sit down and think what do you need to resolve with this person.
Good luck

it's a contradictory statement. if the dream was only about me, then why would it indicate I need to resolve something regarding somebody else? wouldn't I need to resolve something inside of ME?

I've heard the theory...everybody in a dream is a representation of some aspect of your psyche. Sometimes that theory works, sometimes it doesn't.

I have no unresolved issues regarding the ex. Everything's resolved.

well...things can be symbolic beyond whether or not I have unresolved issues with my ex boyfriend.

I've been thinking about it actually...

the house he was "buying" in the dream actually means a great deal to me everytime I dream of it. It is literally my DREAM house, the one I am always trying to figure a way to live in, to buy, to rent. I am sometimes arranging furniture in. Sometimes I am living in it and am so happy.

If he was going to buy it, does it mean he's taken something of my dreams away? Does it mean I'd have to fight for it?

What about it being my birthday?

Dreams can be just dreams. This one doesn't feel that way. But it also doesn't have much to do with HIM, much more do with me. What do you think? Symbolic and bullcrap?

To dream of your own birthday, means good luck will surely come your way. A dream of birthday presents has the same signifigance.

Buying a house indicates a short but exciting love affair. Selling a house augurs a releasing from pressing relationships. Being in an empty house suggests you are grieving over a recent loss, broken relationship, or missed opportunity; dont despair, time really does heal all things.

I read this from my dream book. Perhaps the house symbolizes the relationship you were once in. I guess you can interpret it in many ways, but my thought is that maybe he took something from you when the relationship ended. Maybe he stole a piece of youre heart and you've been subconcsiously thinking about it?

idk just trying to help 🙂
